Correct. That is why I mentioned that they are "generally" mounted under ;-)
For aircraft like the hondajet, lift is not the main consideration though. Important items are cabin space, max speed and range. The cabin space is increased by moving the engines from the aft fuselage (like on for example the gulfstream). But mounting the engines under the wing would require for a very long undercarriage, so having them on top is a nice (albeit oddly-looking) compromise.
Max speed and range are not too much influenced by the position of the engines.
