SciFrog:These lists would vanish if Porsche made enough cars to meet the real demand. It says nothing about the car itself.
Sorry, there are plenty of low production cars in the world (because there is no demand). It says a great deal about the car...

Whoopsy:More like if PCNA have the guts to raise the MSRP to around ROW's level, then the list will really thin out.
Porsches are too underpriced in the USA.
Nick, the one mainstay of Porsche as a sport car company was when it came to performance/value, it is above the rest. Granted the gap has closed but Porsche still is the gold standard using this criteria.
The GT3 is not underpriced. It is where it should be. It is a very understated pedestrian looking sport car when compared to its competitors. Its performance is close if not better than cars costing 20% more. Raise the price to competitors and it will hurt the brand.

The US price is more expensive than Euro price, if you consider the Euro price includes VAT (19% ??)...
US Price is $143,600 without tax
German price is 152,416 Euros with VAT (123,457 Euros less 19% VAT which is $131,512 at today's conversion rate)

You are right! I just checked, even Canadian pricing adjusted fro exchange rate is cheaper than US now. Wow, what a turn around.
SciFrog:The GT3 is still underpriced. The other models, not anymore.
The GT3 had the largest price increase of the 911 models from 991.1 to 991.2
GT3 increased 10%, while all the other 911's increased only around 5%

Agreed - even with the current market over, US cars are still $14 K USD cheaper than Sun's NZ car same spec, after his discount from list but including US sale tax and reg which offsets most of NZ GST. Subtract CA tax and reg and it's a steal.

why should anyone buy a 911 when it is priced like a ferrari or lambo? that would not make any sense.
derder:overpriced in US?! try buying in Australia. it's like 260k USD (or 350k AUD) for a poverty spec one...
so that's like 500k USD before-tax money.
Absolutely; Australia has always been about supporting / subsidizing the Aussie builders Holden and Ford. Now that there are none to support, how is it going with getting that Luxury Car Tax eliminated? That would not completely level the import pricing playing field, but would go some ways towards it...

I will, as some 911 holds better value than most Ferrari and Lambo.

I'm also in the no lift camp, I'm dead afraid fitting thing to the front axle that don't belong there. That said, I'm sure it's all in the head...

Guys,
May agree with you, but when you will be in front of those ugly stuffs slowing you down everywhere in EU, you might change your opinion .....
It will cost you some consumables : front spoiler... and could lead to a nice fromt bumper is hit too harsh ....
I'm very happy to activate this one 10 sec prio and 1 sec after passing through it :-)
997 Carrera S Triple Black Sold now ... Good car 997 GT3 triple black wow what a car !!!
My 1GT3 did not have the lift and my front lip may have been scraped one or twice. Really didn't have a need for it. Yet, when I was selling the car frequently I was asked whether it had a lift and was deal breaker if it did not.
I remain uncertain I will order it this time around. I am inclined not to do so since I will sell it back to the dealer.

I personally would have no doubts, just the piece of mind of having it were ever you go, all it takes is a ramp to an underground parking of a mall or whatever in the city and you are destroying the lip or worse, and its not like you will even be able to tell its there when you are driving, I'm sure if we are given two GT3's, one with the lift and one without, nobody will be able to tell which is which solely by driving it.
