Rossi:Those few design elements in red look out of place.
Yep, not a fan either. This is actually another reason I switched from the GLC63 S to the E63 S: I badly wanted the Edition 1 but the edge of the black rims was painted in yellow (GLC). Not a fan. The E63 S Edition 1 has all black rims, no paint on the edges. Also, I'm not a fan of that stupid sticker but sales guy suggested I leave it on and if I don't like it, I can still remove it. Not sure it was the right decision though since removing a sticker from that matte metallic paint can be a challenge (according to a friend).

the center plastic aluminum trim looks very cheap...
the new hype with red circles around the wheels is tacky for such a car
I will start looking at the old version, normal classic color and get a good deal

Wow... I haven't even noticed it but now that you say it...

intouch1:old is gold in case of the new g
Only to enthusiasts. I heard from my cousin yesterday that someone traded in a G63 at their dealerships for a Nissan Armada because they wanted something softer and more comfortbale. And they low balled them like crazy on the trade, the costumer didn't care.

The G63 is pretty comfortable...

That's what I thought but apparently a Nissan was better
In the UK they are producing an initial batch of G63s in July and following my early interest and deposit we have been offered a build slot.
This first production cannot be the Edition 1 model, cannot have Designo paint or Nappa interior and the winter pack is not available.
So we have gone for black with night pack (ie blacked out bumpers and stuff) 22" black wheels with diamond cut rim edge, saddle brown and black interior and Drivers pack which apparently allows it to do 137mph

That's great news ! Sounds like a pretty stealth, yet striking combination. Congrats, cant wait to see actual pictures of the car.
noone1:Saw some reviews lately. This vehicle begs for an EV powertrain. I want one, but won't until it's an EV.
Lower center of gravity, way higher "mpg", vastly more torque, actual torque vectoring on a per wheel basis.
IMHO, then it would lose it's point of being a dinosaur and start becoming a normal car. If I was the MB product manager, I'd EV the GL and leave the big G alone.

G class as an EV? I would never buy one.

SciFrog:I don’t get the G. My RRS is a better car in every aspect for 40% less money...
Except looks IMO. That's all really. I for one don't subscribe to the "but we love the character of it's crappy old technology" thing. I want a super modern one that just looks like the old one.
