    What's on your keyring?

    My fiancé got me a mini Porsche LED torch for a little valentines present yesterday. You can recharge it in the cigarette lighter socket in the car and even close the compartment whilst it's charging.

    I think it's awesome, much better than the standard leather Porsche badge (albeit a lot chunkier)!!

    What do you guys have on your keyring?

    Actually the factory collection was 400 Euro plus tax. It was half the price of collecting the car from a German dealer (where you don't get a LED torch keyring).

    I know there is no delivery charge in the UK but that's only because it's already costed into the price of the UK recommended retail price which is subtstantially higher than the rest of the EU.

    To be honest that torch rattling around whilst it's in the ignition would do my head in. For me personally the leather keyring is far less annoying.

    The main part of the torch un-screws from the top and then you put it in the cigarette lighter socket whilst you are driving. No rattling about.

    I like this item. Padded so no inadvertent actuation of door locks. Has friction so stays in pocket. Not really bulky because its a few layers of nylon. I keep us$50 in it for emergency (room to spare for credit card or similar. Losing key is major PITA so having it in a little case might be better for some people than dangling it around. Big disappointment: I think it's discontinued.

    Ah, thats better then. It's quite ingenious that you can charge it in the cigarette lighter socket, simple yet quite cool.

    I love light, this is really a cool gadget. Anyway - for me this would be to bulky to put on the key ring, but having it would be great anyway! I will try to get it, too!

    I have the same light as Alex but I leave it in the cigarette lighter socket. I used to have nothing on the keyring but it kept falling out of my pocket when I'd least expect it. I added a simple ring with a little fabric ring with the "turbo" script on it. Simple yet effective in keeping the keys IN my pocket where it should stay. I don't like the idea of having too much on the key.

    I got a silver 997 Coupe with my initials and the delivery date engraved on it when I picked up my car from Zuffenhausen. Picture will be posted later.

    As a practicing economist, I'd say that "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch," meaning one way or another, someone is paying for getting something.

    I actually got given the 'Turbo wheel' keyring (plus 2 standard leather black emblem ones) and the next day I fitted a set of HRE wheels on the car as I didn't like the OEM ones.

    My OPC knew I was doing this and I think they gave me the keyring to try to dissuade me!!

    I just carry the key itself, no ring. I don't carry any other keys so there doesn't seem to be much point to a whole ring. Where possible I always like to aim for simplicity.

    No key ring for me either... I keep my house and office keys on a separate ring that stays in my pocket, or in the console... Don't want anything chafing away at my dash under the ignition, nor the rattling/jingling... Just the key.
