So I bought an iphone yesterday. What do I need to

get it playing music over the Turbo's system?

Please keep in mind that I am completely clueless when it comes to music gadgetry. But would appreciate any help w/ advise on how & what to hook up so I can use it in the car. I didnt order the CD option.

Also - What kind of diffusers are you guys running? Any advise there? I currently have a V1

    TIA~

It sounds like Mobridge is the least buggy system to date from what I have read. Personally, I am going to wait until there is a convincing product out there - so far, I am not convinced!

Gregg, the V1 is great (I also own one), but won't help much against laser. I would strongly suggest the Laser Interceptor, Antilaser or the Laser Pro Park (just put these into Google). The Interceptor would be my favorite and I'll be getting one to replace my Lidatek. PM me if you need any more details (or alternately, you can ask Carlos from Spain as well ).

That Laser Interceptor kicked ass on this test:

    This video's are interesting:

But I couldnt find where to buy one, so I was just about to ask you when I came up on this from just 2 days ago:

Re: So I bought an iphone yesterday. What do I need to

If you can get a group buy discount, I'd strongly recommend going for it. Also, my suggestion would be to buy a 4-head unit, to also cover the rear, as LIDAR is increasingly being used in the US to target from the rear. You can get thinner and smaller heads for application in the rear.

I'd be up for the Group Buy but just read it will probably take at least a month or so, I need it faster. I'm going to call the US distributer myself. Did you already order yours?

That's what I'm thinking; 2 for the front & 2 for the rear.

Re: So I bought an iphone yesterday. What do I need to

Crash - Any idea on where the units in the rear would get mounted (for a 997 Turbo) ?

I assume you'll be leaving the bumperettes on, so why not fit the heads inside? They can be mounted vertically, since one head uses vertical and one horizontal beam polarization, so there will be no difference in coverage. So, take off the bumperettes, insert the heads and you should be set. Since the car is dark, nobody will notice the head poking through. A nice and stealthy install, and you don't even have to drill through any expensive parts.

Re: So I bought an iphone yesterday. What do I nee

I have the Escort SRX on mine and it works great. A group of us with different laser diffusers got together and tested it out. The SRX and Laser Pro came out on top with the SRX slightly ahead. I'll post pictures of where my twin diffuser units are mounted up front. The rear diffuser is mounted just above the rear license plate.

I'm also VERY happy with my Dension gateway 500. Works like a dream with my iPod player. Both my 80 gb and iPod touch. The mObridge is a good alternative but I'd give Dension some consideration too. I'd avoid Nav-TV though.

Re: So I bought an iphone yesterday. What do I nee

Atomic, the SRX works well against older guns, but is outclassed against the newer offerings of the LIDAR industry. No sense in buying (somewhat) outdated hardware.

And if you have questions on the Dension, or need to order, hit me:

Mine was just updated with new firmware so I'm good to go against those new generation LIDAR guns.

    Hey Jason,
Where did you get the update? From Benchmark? Free update?
    Thanks!

I've been speaking w/ the US distributer for Laser Interceptor. Problem is now trying to figure out how to mount the heads for the rear. I'm debating on just leaving off rear protection & doing the front only. I know that would get me nailed if shot at from behind but the vast majority of times isnt the threat from the front? Dont know, I would like to do the rear too but he's recommending 2 sensors & there doesnt seem to be a good place to mount them without looking bad. What do you think?

This is really impressive & I'm told the only gun the Laser Interceptor didnt jam they have since modified to be at close to 100% effective.

Yes, Ivan (the developer) actually tweaked the jammer to jam the Stalker on the spot - shocking every one of the testers . Their HQ is only around 80 miles away from me.

Regarding mounting, yes, the likelihood of you getting hit from behind is MUCH smaller than getting nailed from the front, so the 2-head solution is definitely better than nothing. Regarding mounting, I just remembered that Carlos from Spain had a custom bracket made for mouting a jammer on his 997S. You might want to ask him about it.
