Have you ever heard the straight pipes?
I have the Fab verIII and started the engine once with only the sportscat installed...... It's freaking loud!!! I was afraid of my garage windows
I can't imagine driving around through the city with that setup

You really should have gotten the cargraphic exhaust. It's plenty loud but not to the point where it'd be annoying. Gives that classic Porsche flat-6 sound. I love it!
A fellow, Fred on 6speedonline put straight pipes on his 997TT and felt it was TOO loud and didn't sound very good. And believe me, he loves loud things. Another thing to keep in mind is that aftermarket mufflers also do is enhance the quality of exhaust sounds. A straight pipe doesn't do that, it's just noise.

Bypass pipes are waaay too loud, if I were you, I'd hold onto the mufflers WHEN you change your mind. Anyway, you can easily switch them out and back. If you sell the cans, then hate the pipes you're looking at buying yet another system. GL

I disagree, straight pipes are loud, but on a 997TT it's not just noise, it's a really "racing style" sound, but did i say loud??
You hear the turbos whisteling and the idle sound is pretty impresssive. Maybe it's because of the new vtg turbos, but i like the sound. MUCH better than the PSE sound on NA cars.
