Jay is awsome. But who is the [beep] paying $1M for a car that will be available next year for 1/10 of a price.

I think Jay Leno is someone very passionate with cars and
really knows a LOT of them, certainly his own garage.
But the way he speaks to the people here, I really find it ridiculous and a bit over the top!

He raised his own bid from $900K to $1 million. Everything above $99,000 is going directly to the United Way. He paid that much for it because it was for charity.

Us$60K per gallon of paint, same brakes as a Ferrari, will "kick ass" of foreign cars: too too funny.
us$1,000,000? The whole event is "priceless."
Good thing there's a charitable cause involved.
Too bad it still looks like a Corvette. Pedestrian and over-embellished; like the styling of plumbing fixtures found at Home Depot.

This qualifies as the quintessential "snob" poster-child.

No, I think the man is right. I wouldn't pay 1 million for a CGT, much less a Corvette. And one could also argue that designating Europeans as "feminine", as you've so aptly put it in another thread, also qualifies as snobbery.
Come on, he's joking!

You've mis-judged him. Jay is as nice a guy in person & has always been one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.
