    Help Pls: Does Owner's Manual say "911 Turbo"?

    Feel like a noob for asking this but I just realize my 997 Turbo's Owner's Manual only has "911 Carrera" as the title, not "911 Turbo." IOW, it's exactly the same as the manual for my 997 C2.

    Does yours look the same as this one on ebay?

    I've read so much about the car on this forum that I didn't even bother looking carefully at the manual until recently when Alex asked about the Over Boost function.

    Did the dealer give me the wrong one? TIA.

    the om for my " launch code " tt says 911 turbo and has a pic of a silver tt on the cover....i think you inadvertently got the wrong one or if its mostly tt specific info porsche elected to save big time by substituting the 911 cover which probabaly saves .00000000009 cents for the entire run

    Yes there is a specific Turbo manual, 99% the same but still specific to the Turbo. I was in the exact same situation, I ended up contacting PCNA and they sent me the correct manual. You can also buy it from the parts dept, or try going thru your salesman.

    Wow, I think your dealership actually gave you the wrong manual! How is that possible?

    Thanks everyone for the speedy replies. I am a little embarrassed myself. I think the dealer pull the leather pouches from those cars in the showroom (lest they walk out by themselves?) and place them together with the keys in the manager's office. Obviously one got mixed up and I didn't think to check. This dealer's service was beyond reproach in all other ways.

    Now I also have to check what else is missing. If you have time would you please take a quick look and list the 5 or so titles of the other booklets in that leather pouch? Thanks in advance. We could all check and see what we each have and harrass our dealers for anything missing. I'll check my wrong ones when I get home and list them FWIW.

    A more useful thread that actually lists and has pictures of what you are supposed to get. Someone also points out there the maintenance booklet has a sticker specific to your car and its options, that used to be glued under the hood.

    I guess I am not the only one! I've been told that the leather pouch's contents are put together when a car arrives to its US port. That's where the mistake is made. i.e. It may not be from a switch Considering the manual I think is about $100 plus (better not be made in China), I am going to make sure my dealer sends replacements.
    You might want to check also the Maintenance Manual and see if the sticker specific to your car is on the first page.

    Put it near your bed at night because it's easier than going to the garage in your pajamas for one last look.
