OOPS! VERY QUICK TO POINT OUT: I do NOT feel the same way about original vs. replica Cobras since they were never meant to be mass produced. Another difference: Cobras are soooo outrageous they're measured by a different set of car-guy values.

hey raclaims.....awesome.....but why don't you go with the 427IR...i think that the injected engoines are far more reliable and streetable than carbeurated ones.
mine's a supeformance as well.
google for kirkham gauges...they are electronic and might be better than the standard smiths gauges. i ordered them for my car.

mmd, i agree with you...with some cars it just does not seem right to go for th replica.....such as a 300SL for example.
in the cobra's case i feel indifferent....its all about the looks...and the new chassis are far superior to the old frame design.
superformance are licensed by shelby btw.....which doesn't make a difference to me either....i have always loved it's looks and the best way to get this car is either to get a superformance or a kirkham.
there are also shelby csx chassis...but i hear they have huge delivery problems and technical issue so they are not the real deal they seem to be..+ far more expensive than a superformance which already commands in excess of 80,000 $ fully assembled....

I have driven one with the IR engine and it's nuts but I'm going to be "old school" and go with the carb...
