A GT3RS will be a great track weapon, and that's the reason I wanted a GT3RS. But I already have a proper race car so the GT3RS will be pale in comparison.

As a unintended result of many cars, they are almost never together at home, today I finally picked up my 4C but the Aston has gone into the shop. The Cayenne is also at the shop since yesterday, swapping tires and fixing a broken horn.

Soon the Lambo will need to head back in for it's tire change, then the 918 and the SVR. The Golf R just came back from service also. And the 3.6 will be needing it's service soon.

Basically it's just a rotating door for cars going in and out at all times.Smiley

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Unfortunately, if you have already a R, it's the better way to have no .2 GT3 RS because of  you are already a privileged.

It's the way of thinking and choosing of many dealers but I've to say that I agree with the policy to privilege customers who don't only buy the GTx series ou special series but also the 4 doors series.

It's pretty logiciel. 75% of the production of Porshce is for the 4 doors series. ;)

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Just curious, Nick - why bother buying something like a .2 3RS? The 2RS is the same but better, you have an R, and a Cayman Clubsport - is there not a point where the effort involved in dealing with another car outweighs the benefits? Not criticizing, just want to understand.

    LP997,

give me your R, I will find you a RS Smiley

Seriously, if Porsche France is giving instruction to start dispatching allocations to new guys, I would say it is not bad. It will give some space for other people interested in the car, eliminate of lot of flippers from the .1 allocation process and avoid to give the premium to the same customers each and every time.

I guess Germany will follow a similar procedure because dealers will allocate first regional customer but if you are willing to pay a mark-up, you will get one almost wherever you want.

I am happy to see a change in the allocation strategy, let see if it is efficient.

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

I don’t believe Porsche gave any dealer instructions as to who they can sell to. Your dealer thinks you flipped the .1RS thus no .2 RS for you. Had you sold it to the dealer you would have had a .2 allocation.

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

In Italy another thing that allow you to have a 3RS.2 is to own a 3RS.1..

for this reason i have the allocation accepted.

but sure I must sell the .1 to pay the .2...but I think this is another thing.

Do you know if those guys still own the .1? Are they trading it to the dealer for the .2?

for the speedster, I guess, the same situation will happen. I don’t see them giving you a second limited car from 991 generation if they do not give you the RS which is a very high production figures.

That's a good question. I initially thought I didn't want one. But my mind changed as I realized down the road even if I didn't like/need it, I would have no problem getting rid of it. I have friends lining up already trying to take cars off my handSmiley

It could be that this is the last print RS-sales material from Porsche.

A very nice book - not the usual brochure - the last one for the serios RS-Collector...at least until the rumoured last Cup-Edition...Smiley

Mercedes will also stop to print brochures in 2018...
