    Thanks. It looks really small. Samller than the X3? Interesting looks as well. Has a tough G-class sort of look. But I prefer the softer ML look. GLK63 will be interesting though!

    Yupp more or less the same size. Audi will be joining the battle with their Q5 which is do launch at Detroit just like the GLK and X6.

    WTF is going on with automotive designers these days? Are they smoking carpets or what? This car is so butt-ugly it should be illegal to be seen within 50 ft of it.

    Nice find, Merc again has to pay the price for their preference for movie product placements -- like the MIB2 E-Class scoop some years ago.

    Regarding the design: At least it's different to the competition, there are already too many soft/round cars on the market. After all those flaming surfaces and curves I really do appreciate the comeback of angular box design.

    I agree with the need for more angular design in these soap-style-design-times, but this just looks horrible IMO.

    All I can say is that I can't wait to see the Audi Q5. The GLK makes my M sports kit X3 look elegant, and that isn't the best looking out in the market!

    Although I would probably never buy SUV's (too many performance sacrifices), I have to say that this car is an example of MB's future design direction. Several people have already commented in this thread on how boxy and angular the car is - I believe we are seeing a resurgence of the 1980's MB design philosophy and days when MB's were hewn from granite. I think all the better for us that MB has decided to return to boxy designs; you can especially see the transformation from E/SL to S/CL to the C-Class and now the GLK. I can't wait to see the interior.

    Summary: Objectively, not the most attractive car. On the positive side; a return to solid, timeless cars.

    It's a Jeep Wagoneer. Amazing likeness and not at all what i would expect from mercedes. These wheel arch bulges on many new merc's are not good.
