I can answer already : no way for helmet.
I’m 1m95 and I touch the roof already with the sport bucket and WITHOUT the helmet.
Even if you gain 2 cm with different fixation plates this will not fly.
sorry to disappoint you in advance.
PS : i cannot believe your dealer will not have one . As whoopsy said I m almost sure all of them got one at least.
he has maybe many customers to please :-)
991.2 GT3 PDK Black on black
My current information is: Dealers have fixed allocations only until the factory summer vacation, afterwards new allocations are coming in. Do not give up, stay in touch with the dealer, bug him, visit him, talk to him, don't give up. I said the same regarding the 991.1 GT3 RS...stay in touch, do not pass on your initial order or whatever if you want a car.
Regarding the Lamborghini Huracan Performante: This would be my first choice anyway but I understand when people want the GT3 RS, it is an amazing product, especially for the track. Also cheaper.

Isn't it possible to set the driver's seat lower? 2 cm sounds not much...4-5 cm should be possible.

BjoernB:I cancelled after they told me that I have to add a Panamera to get one fix - they have really lost it here in CH....
That is insane. They have truly lost it.

Pretty "normal" behavior I'm afraid...
This is a business and they try to make money.
Don't get me wrong, I do not support this way of doing business but Porsche could easily change this by making less 911 Carrera and more GT models. They "throw" out Carrera models but limit GT model production. Not easy to understand. They know how well the GT models sell, so why not adapt production accordingly?!

They probably fear to flood the market with GT models as there will be 1000s of GT models in the market but not enough demand during the next downswing... The target audience for the GT models was much smaller until 3 years ago. The bubble we have now will burst sooner or later and the residual values of the GT models will tank. The more they build the worse the development will be This will obviously have a detrimental effect on Porsche's brand reputation (bad resale values, unstable prices).
BjoernB, I know the feeling, that is exactly what they tried to do to me when I was about to sign on the dotted line for the GT2 RS...and I walked right out. Made a big stink about it at HQ subsequently, but they claim to have no control over their dealers in this regard...if you believe that, you believe anything.
Changed dealership and got in line for the 991.2 GT3 RS. Just sold my 991.1 GT3 RS, the new car should arrive in May/June. No strings attached...
point is that here they have adapted to recent EUR/CHF currency changes - hence it got even more expensive - you can spec a Mk2 GT3RS to over 300k CHF with Weissach - which is a territory I would rather spend on a Speciale or a 720s. However, for me timing is not that bad as my urge to buy those models has easen dramatically - I am happy with the 997's and the Mk1 RS - GT3 and GT4 are sold - not joining that hype. GT2RS was impressive but no point for CH street law enforcement....

NO its a joke? if Porsche do that for me its finish for me....
unfortunately no joke...- despite owning 5 GT cars....
Pffff!!! i understand you cancel it...I leave Porsche if I heard that!! Porsche plays a dangerous game...
Actually with the .1RS , for the last batch , Porsche obliged the dealers to buy a Panamera hybrid if they wanted new locations for the RS . Dealer just pass on to the customer

The update on my order is that I have a May built allocation . But I want to change my specs to the WP , and by doing this I currently stand in unknown territory about what will happen .... They can not garantee anything if I do so for the moment .
A friend had the same '' problem'' . He had his lawyer on Porsche Switzerland . Case was arranged quickly .
LP997 : I still find if strange that your dealer is not getting any car , unless he is really a 3rd zone garage with no traffic .
I saw the allocations at my dealer this morning , and for Mai, June and July they are quite a lot .
BTW , if someone wants a fast Panamera , here is one

possibly in switzerland, surely not in austria. i have a last batch gt3RS.1 and there were no strings attached.

Maybe only in Switzerland But here for sure dealers had to buy a Panamera if they wanted an RS . My dealer refused . Not sure you had a last batch . You have your car since a long time . I am talking about the last batch , re spring 2017

Maybe your dealer had to get a Panamera but he did't force the Panamera onto you?
All dealers get "package" deals from Porsche...this is nothing new. "Want a GT2 RS?" Get three Panamera Turbo S as well. Just a (guessed) example. Dealers need to make the best out of it. Not easy, I get it but this doesn't mean the customer needs to buy two cars to get one, this is ridiculous.

d997h:If you usually are in GT territory you will not be satisfied with a Spyder in terms of performance, I think. The Spyder may always be too slow for you (nevertheless, it is a great car!!!)...
Yes not the same use but in my mind I search more a car with "life" not a war machine ;) pleasure is more important in my eyes.

No, get the 991.2 Turbo S and destroy the GT models.
Sorry RC but turbo is not in my philosophy of pleasure cars
Then Huracan Performante...definitely my favorite.

Your info is right,my dealer has one sure allocation in May(not for me ),then he will receive (it seems) other two?!? cars, but after the summer vacation and till today there is no production date confirmed for those.
The only hopes to have the car before is that someone switch to WP and leave some slot without that options free...so guys order all cars with WP(thanks)
Then,a question,Christian when you think they will confirm the production date for the second bunch?
in a month?two?more?
