Oh, forgot to tell you...it seems that the first batch is already sold out worldwide.

Second batch will come in late summer/autumn, dealers don't have their allocations yet, so they usually tell people: no more. Stay in touch with your dealer(s) and don't give up!!!

Not sure I understand. Since dealers in NA have not received their allocations how can the first batch be sold out? Is it possible that Porsche gave all the first batch allocations to Europe?yes

    This is all I have...sorry.

If cars are coming to the US before the summer vacation, I assume US dealers already have their allocations. I do not have any information on that, sorry.

First cars will be delivered to customers in April (Germany).

Good to know that someone actually received an allocation with a delivery date. When Porsche made the announcement of the GT3.2RS they indicated the car would be ordered immediately. That was back in February. Since then, your the only person I know that has posted an allocation and delivery.Smiley

The 918 owners in the US have already submitted their orders as of last Friday. Meanwhile, us peons wait and wait.Smiley

I have seen the allocations for building dates  at my dealer .  3 in May, 5 in June and 3 other ones in July . Delivery date one month after building date .

As I understand , allocations are set and already decided in general . Like how many cars will go to the US etc... Maybe even to each dealer . After how the allocations are distributed is maybe not decided yet . Like Porsche california will know they will get  xxx cars but have not decided how many to what dealer etc....

The Swiss market is a little bit different , but yes, not a '' rare '' car . just difficult to get an allocation for the first batch .

    To give you an idea , at the time , he received 3  '' 911 R ''

I know a guy who gets a car in April and another one in June...

Because of WP, I'm delayed on july. End of july. Unfortunately, exclusiv options are prohibited regarding of an already huge of demands.

I do not believe on a second batch for Europe. May be for the ROW !? I don't see Porsche to homologate two versions of the car in a such short time. Meaningwhile, Porsche will launch the speedster as a gift for the 70th Anniversary.

Rumours indicated the number of 1948 cars to deliver.

I said people shouldn't give up because the car will clearly be built after summer, way into the year 2019.

So if someone is interested in getting a 991.2 GT3 RS but gives up his (possible) slot/position on a list and/or doesn't even talk to the dealer anymore...big mistake. Be patient.

Dealers currently have only allocations for 2018 (until the factory summer vacation), so if a dealer tells customers "no more cars after the summer", he simply doesn't know what is coming (although I think Porsche clearly informed dealerships that more cars will be available after summer).

I can talk about German dealerships only but I guess it isn't much different for other dealerships in Europe...maybe even outside Europe.

I remember when a Porsche employee in the highest hierarchy offered me a 918 because apparently, they weren't selling well enough.  Actually, I think I could have even taken a small discount home with me.  Now? Well... Smiley

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

The debut of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS heralds the arrival of one of the most radical high-performance sports cars today. But what are the differences compared to the previous generation? Get all the information from Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser (Head of Porsche Motorsport) and Andreas Preuninger (Director GT Product Line) who know the car better than any other person.

No doubt you're right. I suppose Porsche would say we leave that to our dealers. But I suspect, despite buying a Porsche almost every two years, should my dealer run out of allocations for the RS I would be out of luck. OTOH, if Whoopsy's (Nick) dealer ran out of allocations, I am fairly confident Porsche would give him one. It's the difference between a minnow (me) and a whale (Whoopsy) in Porsche world.Smiley

Sorry, if you add the cost of WP and Mag wheels, you’re looking at a cost of close to $225,000 before adding other options. The car is not worth that especially if you own a.1. enlightened
