    For those interested...

WP from June 2018 production as already mentioned.

Magnesium wheels from February 2019. Magnesium wheels are in Platinum as standard color.

991.2 GT3 RS will be for sure produced till July 2019.

    No filter.

    Any more questions?

So no difference at all between cars pre september and after September. Makes the most sense . How did they manage to meet the new pollution rules ?

I think its for ROW cars...Not European cars

it doesn't really make sense to build a car with and one without particulate filter.
Kreso said no filter for both, so... Smiley

I may have some more info on that in April...

Interesting, it didn't look that lime-green under the hall lights - a bit more pastel. I guess the iPhone adjusted them. Looks epic in real life, either way angel

This would be exactly the color I would order the GT3 RS with... Smiley

Saw a R8 V10 Plus Spyder recently in a similar color, epic.

Also reminds me of that green Huracan Performante I saw...very nice color for "special" cars.

Race car version over 600hp? Much more to come then!

Not necessarily - 911 race cars have been making big power (without a restrictor) for many years now.  Very different to have a >10,000 rpm redline motor that only needs to last a weekend without a warranty and doesn't need to have a street exhaust system (or emissions regs).

Funny thing is, Porsche doesn't right now have a version of this engine in race trim to make 600HP Smiley

The most powerful one is the one in the RSR and that one is rated at 510HP with restrictor. Cup car has a even lower HP , 485HP.

Those race motors also need a rebuild every 100 hours.

But yeah, take out the restrictor a motor can probably do 600HP. But still need a rebuild in 100hrs, maybe even less.

OK, guys...here is the latest information, fresh in from someone working directly with Porsche (not an official statement though):

    1. Around 1000 cars until the summer vacation, all of them without particulate filter.

    2. After September/October production of cars with particulate filter for the EU market, maybe not for other markets (so US/ROW will probably get cars without particulate filter).

    3. Cars will be produced way into the year 2019, estimated production number of 5000 to 6000 cars total (not sure if this happens after the first 1000 or if it includes the first 1000 cars).

    4. Both cars will have the same specs, particulate filter car gets slightly changed exhaust system (according to him, the sound has same loudness in both cars, only slightly different tone) and some changes with air inflow/software. Performance should be equal.

    5. "Everyone who wants one, should be able to get one..." motto (may be valid for German market only).

Of course...again...this is not official but comes from a close source to production.

I think its 40 hours too, but the bigger factor is sending it to porsche for rebuild, otherwise no warranty, and I don't think people, other than race drivers, wanted to do that

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

Glad to see Porsche coming to their sense and producing enough cars to meet the vast demand. After all, they should not care about resale value created by artificially low production since they don’t profit from resales. The dealers might get hurt a bit but will make some money back by selling more cars. Resale values will get hurt but at least the cars end up in the hands of people who will enjoy them and not speculators. Overall pretty much a win win.

My concern these days is that resale value of all these GT cars will crash when the market gets back to normal. These cars have been produced in so large numbers (GT2RS included) that a lot of money will be burned sooner or later Smiley

Very nice car the RS. The colour looks awesome. Don't like all the black plastic parts. Looks cheap. For a car in this price range they could have used carbon fibre.

No doubt we will see many green cars on RT soon indecision

kiss It was great meeting up with some RT members yesterday at the Geneva show .

After seeing the RS live , I slightly changed my order . Dropped the green circle on the black rims for simple all black rims and asked to have the green seats changed for black ones, but keeping the other parts green ( but I could not find this option on the configurator )
