There is only one problem: There isn't supposed to be a manual option for the 992. Unless they changed this again, so they can charge for PDK.

Yes, there will be a manual gearbox available for the 992!

Keep in mind the 992 GT3 4.0 Touring and 992 R will both have a manual gearbox...

There was a strong rumor that Porsche decided to say good.-bye to manual...

They have most likely realised that there is a large gap in the market for a manual box sports car amongst the baby boomers and Generation X enthusiasts and that it likely has at least another 911 double model generation of sales left if legislation doesn't kill it off beforehand in terms of emissions. I just wish they'd drop the 7 speed manual version of the PDK and give us back the much better 6 speed that most buyers would prefer. They can afford to sacrifice a few tenths of seconds of performance to bring it back. PDK sales are now surely strong enough to warrant the development costs of that box without trying to eke out a few more by selling the questionable manual version of it. 6 forward gears in a manual box car are more than plenty and the motor sport team have always recognised this so it's time the bean counters accepted it as well.

Keep in mind the 992 GT3 4.0 Touring and 992 R will both have a manual gearbox...

I think they would like to, but don't you think the GT3 Manual/Touring/911R/Speedster sold too well for that?

You would be surprised how comfortable these Singer seats are. Safety - now that's another matter.

Don't get me wrong, I love Singer and admire them for their craftsmanship, absolutely amazing job, especially how they pay attention to details and really offer a new experience, not just a simple restoration with a bit of tuning.

I am more into modern cars, this is no secret. Smiley Even if Singer isn't really a classic...
