Do you maybe know if the GT3 will also continue production after September? Since there will be no particulate filter supposedly.

This is still the big mystery out there. Thing is: The new EU law doesn't say anything about a particulate filter, it just provides new emissions regulations. However, it seems that the only way to meet them is...a particulate filter. Maybe Porsche found a way around it, maybe a loophole, I don't have a clue. There is also that rumor with the 4.2 l engine and of course the new rumor with the first batch EU and second batch ROW cars (after August).

I do not understand why Porsche doesn't clarify this, it would help a lot of customers to make the right decision.

GT3 was homologated before september 2017 so its homologation stops before september 2018.

if they want to sell it past september, they will have to get a new homologation Smiley

5000+ 991.2 GT3RS is a bit optimistic. they can't really go more than 20-25 GT a day. 1 year production would mean 4000+ units.

First GT3RS did not meet 5000 units in almost 18 months production.

we all heard 6000+ worldwide 991.1 GT3RS, no?

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

No one says + 6000 except at some stage a runour.

    The concensus is around 5000

LG is the best color for the car and the WP just doesn't fir the color scheme. Did you order PCCB's. I am still trying to justify the cost given how good the Porsche standard brakes are.

They are the brake cooling ducts for the front brakes. No drag penalty vs the old path of stealing air flow from underneath the car.

    Tech pass through from GT2RS.

Outside of the front bumper, the whole car is a GT2RS with a different engine.

same spring rate as the GT2RS? then it should be still stiffer than the .1RS i suppose.

    > From September, "no problem to get a car" since the version with PF will be built through 2019 over many months (sounds strange due to start of 992 but this is what my source said).

    Re: OFFICIAL: 991.2 GT3 RS (2018)

    See on reenlist :

    the car will be available to order now. Here is how Porsche stated it;

"ZUFFENHAUSEN, Germany – Porsche’s Motorsport division has raised performance potential of the 911 GT3 RS in a mid-life facelift for the existing 991-series model, which underpins the German automaker’s extensive GT-based motorsport activities.

Available to order now prior to a public debut at next month’s Geneva motor show, the ’18 model receives an added 20 hp from a lightly modified version of Porsche Motorsport’s race-bred 4.0L 6-cyl. engine, increasing its reserves to 513 hp at 8,250 rpm."

Yet, to my knowledge no dealer in NA has received any allocations. How can you order if no allocations are available. Additionally, most of us believed that the model would be a 2019 but the bulletin states it will be a 2018.

The only possible explanation is the bulletin is directed to only European countries but if that is the case it should have stated that. Porsche needs to be clearer as to when we will have an opportunity to order the car. PCNA owes us that much.

No PCCB for me.  I need to keep the cost down, plus they would worry me on track.  So option-wise, just green (probably), green cage, leather (undecided on the lizard interior), and lift.  Otherwise the freebie ones we get here: black LEDs, reversing camera, sport chrono, 90 litre tank, cruise control, auto-dimming mirrors, and digital radio.

I'm a bit annoyed about Swiss Pack forcing black LEDs on us - not sure I would choose it otherwise - indeed I was toying with silver wheels/lights combo before I realised the configurator is a bit broken and incorrectly shows silver LEDs in conjunction with the Swiss Pack.

Sounds about right. Consensus is +5000 cars, so maybe 5001, maybe 5999, maybe even a low 6000 number but 5000 is/was planned from the start. Should be achievable in one year, especially since 991.2 Carrera production is lower (new 992 coming) and it may take some time end of 2018 or early 2019 before 992 production/orders pick up.

Your comment could still imply that a first batch is for EU and second batch for ROW ( all the production after september as it would not comply to the new emission law )

But with this availability of WP + light wheel in Switzerland only from 2 / 2019 , it means that cars will be euro compatible  after September . ( filter or another way to pass the emission test )

What is the estimate on production numbers of the .2 GT3? I assume it'll be more or less the same ratio as .1 GT3 and RS?
