Re: Ferrari 488 PISTA
Whoopsy:RC:Whoopsy:nberry:Can we be honest? High performance sport cars are not designed to be comfortable. They are designed for performance which means being loud and a jarring ride. Factor in performance seats and you have a formula for brief burst of enjoyment while enduring harsh comfort. Driving the car several hours a day is for masochist.
I view my RS as an escape pod. While I have other distractions from the daily ho hum, the anticipation of getting in the RS and giving it a spirited drive helps keeps the balance in my world. But like everything else, moderation is the key.
Off the top of my head, I can already name you 911 turbo/turbo S, of all generations.
Ferrari F12/812, FF/Lusso, California/Portofino.
If I take out my Exclusive to my track, and give a GT3RS, GT2RS, or even the 918 to someone else and compare times, not many will be faster, of course a few competent drivers will be but majority will not.
I said it many many times, the 911 turbo S is one of the best all rounder without much compromises.
I'd rather say the best allrounder if you don't need the back seats and/or too much luggage room. There is no real alternative.
Did you know I once packed 2 sets of golf clubs, 2 pull carts, and enough clothing for 2 for a 7 day golf trip into my 911 turbo S?
Another time, at the end of my European delivery of my Exclusive, I drove from Megeve back to Stuttgart with 2 guys and their luggage for a week on top of my own luggage also?
Nick, you’re not going to tell us the three of you were comfortable.
