After seeing the RS live , I slightly changed my order . Dropped the green circle on the black rims for simple all black rims and asked to have the green seats changed for black ones, but keeping the other parts green ( but I could not find this option on the configurator )

That is probably not an option: Maybe you can get someone to sew some inserts for you or order the black ones as  spare parts?

It was on my 3RS.1 . I have the orange interior but with black seats . Maybe they have dropped it on the .2 but why would it not be feasible ? Very easy for them to do so ...

You can do the black interior, then select the deviating stitching in LG.  That adds 3600 or so to the price though.  The LG belts are free I think, but you can't get the LG steering wheel mark without the special LG interior.  You'll still have the door pulls in silver as well unless you can do that as an expensive CXX..

Or order them as parts -  I did that with my 991.1RS. I have red GT4 door straps. Makes the very fast white even faster :)

That is part of the process:

First you get happy you have an allocation.

Then you get frustrated because you can't get exactly what you want.

Then you change your mind a couple of times.

Finally you order almost what you think you want (with some angst).

Then one day you pickup the car and just loves it. :)

OK, German car magazine SPORT AUTO has just confirmed it in an article about the 991.2 GT3 RS: No production limitation, production numbers will be limited by the one year (? I still think it is a little bit more than a year because it will be produced beyond March 2019) production period only. Market introduction is mid April btw.

Race car version over 600hp? Much more to come then!

Not necessarily - 911 race cars have been making big power (without a restrictor) for many years now.  Very different to have a >10,000 rpm redline motor that only needs to last a weekend without a warranty and doesn't need to have a street exhaust system (or emissions regs).

Funny thing is, Porsche doesn't right now have a version of this engine in race trim to make 600HP Smiley

The most powerful one is the one in the RSR and that one is rated at 510HP with restrictor. Cup car has a even lower HP , 485HP.

Those race motors also need a rebuild every 100 hours.

But yeah, take out the restrictor a motor can probably do 600HP. But still need a rebuild in 100hrs, maybe even less.

I thought the Cup can last 100 hours (improved from 50 hours in the 991.1), but I thought the RSR is only good for 40 hours or so...

Yes, the new Cup motor have a 100 hour rebuild spec. and the transmission is 120 hrs if I remember correctly.

The RSR can do basically the same schedule, it's a bit more stressed than the Cup motor but the way they races it's better for them to rebuild it every weekend anyway to have a fresh motor for every race, money is not really an issue if one is racing in the  WEC.

I think its 40 hours too, but the bigger factor is sending it to porsche for rebuild, otherwise no warranty, and I don't think people, other than race drivers, wanted to do that

    Race cars have no warranty.............

    You buy it as is.

Each race team either rebuild their own motors are send it off to someone that can. Porsche of course will rebuild it, but at a much higher cost than others.

Good to know that someone actually received an allocation with a delivery date. When Porsche made the announcement of the GT3.2RS they indicated the car would be ordered immediately. That was back in February. Since then, your the only person I know that has posted an allocation and delivery.Smiley

The 918 owners in the US have already submitted their orders as of last Friday. Meanwhile, us peons wait and wait.Smiley
