    Boxster S GT3 Exhaust Question

    Is the GT3 sport exhaust available on a Boxster or Boxster S? I thought it was only available on the new Boxster S RS 60 that will be available in March of 2008, which also adds 8 hp, from 295 hp to 303 hp. Is it the same as the currently available Porsche Sport Exhaust System, for the Boxster, which I believe costs $2,100?

    Although from the outside of the car the exhausts look similar the answer is no.

    The GT muffler It is VERY different from all exhausts offered for the Boxster, including the Sport Exhaust.

    You cannot use a 911 muffler on a boxster, or vice versa.

    Finally, the power gains achieved on porsche "special" editions are quite un-noticeable in the first place, and are achieved from not only a new muffler, but a different ECU programme as well.

    it's gt3 look-style,not gt3 exhaust...

    The tips fitted to the Boxster S RS 60 are the Cayman S stainless steel sports tips that also fit the Boxster. You can get these from your Porsche dealer and fit yourself. (part no 987.111.981.00). Here they are fitted to my own car.
