I'm coming off a bad experience with a Mazda RX-8 (the wankel), which floods when the car is turned off before the engine warms up. Does the 911 have the same problem? Any reliability problems?
Quote:Fuel injection in cars has been around for a long time...the procedure to start FI cars is usually the same - as you described for your P-car. What have you been driving that required you to press the gas pedal?

Actually, I had to get used to not starting the 911 like EVERY other car I had previously started. Ever since I was a boy, I have started a car by: pressing the gas then turning the key, or depress the gas slightly while turning the key, or a combination of both.
My Porsche salesman told me that I was not to do that when starting the 911. Just push in the clutch and turn the key. Car starts perfectly every time.
