massive,y enhanced willingness to rev in the engine, more torque through the rev range, gear shifts are lightening fast, so fact that your grandmother, the manual GT cars are for middle aged gentlemen drivers, this is not your grandmothers cars, the padels are machined titanium not granny flaps ()
....something along long these lines me thinks

yes, he might do worse though this time. i started out(years ago) thinking that he is competent as engineer but now he got the con-artist stigma with me. entertaining but zero content, to put it politely.
I beg to differ. He has taken a stale and uninspired GT division and made it one of the hottest segments in the car market. If I needed someone to run a GT division he would be first on the list.
You have your way. I have my way. As for the correct way and the only way, it does not exist.

nberry:It looks very similar to the .1. Probably a 25-30 increase in hp. Much will depend on how much more they price it from the .1. If there is $10,000 boast in price that would be appropriate. Beyond that I am not so sure.
It will be worth much more than $10k with the new motor in the .2. Worlds apart and really bad news for the .1 gt cars.
Once I heard about the .2 motor I thanked my lucky stars I did not get a .1 allocation. It also explains why the .2 is so hard to get and the .1 will never sell over original list price. Once out of warranty the .1 gt cars will be decreasing in value like any exotic. There are too many of them and risk is too great
Guys, there is indeed an event in Levi for press at the moment.
Not only Walter is there, Markku Alén too. Something to do with an anniversary of 4 by 4 from Porsche. I personally saw (and talked to) them in our hotel lobby. Andreas Preuninger and Lars Kern were at the bar.
There are GT3 RS'es here somewhere for sure...

In the dead of winter with snow and ice?

How about a GT inspired rally car?
It is Walter's 25-year anniversary with Porsche...

well, yes he took out porsche's GT division from oblivion and tired it into something very respectable. but now he gets very long in the tooth and they are falling behind in technology.

Please go for a hunt

pmarkow:btw, on a very uncool note, i have ordered MPSS for my GT3RS. my PC tells me they are available in exactly the same dimensions as the MPC2, although without the PAG certification. anyone has experience with them?
Yes, MPSS are great tyres and very popular on GT and RS models for road driving
Feb 1, 2018 10:58:49 AM
Kobalt:I use that tire as my rain tyre on my 997 GT3. Works great (not just as a rain tyre but overall, even for track.)
I'll guess you'll get less road noise from it. Probably the better tyre if you don't track the car.
I didn't know that the MPSS existed in 21" size.
...and probably a more compliant ride. will report back once the tyres are mounted.
pmarkow:..and probably a more compliant ride. will report back once the tyres are mounted.
Yes, it is softer in the sidewalls which you experience as if the car is in-precise on track compared to the MPSC.
But that is just a good thing on road...
Going to be interesting to see how you like them.

Very minimalist if true
For the RS.1 , PTS was also supposed to be impossible . After a few month of production, suddenly PTS became available .....
Lizard green seems quite dark ...

rosenbergendo@rennlist.com talked to Frank Walliser at Daytona:
"No turbos for GT cars is what he told me. NO manual in RS ever. I directly said "are you serious, 992 GT3 with 3.8 TT?" and he laughed and said not over my dead body. Conflicting info from what others reported. Maybe he meant RS. I also asked about a KERS boost on 992 RS and he also said no. No Formula 1 interest even in light of the continuing of the engine guys building the 2.2 liter twin turbo v-6. Also I asked about 960 in WEC. He said they are waiting on the next set of regulations but agreed the hypercar route for LMP! would attract a lot of manufacturers."

Suits me if true...
No WP? Fine, can't afford it anyway
No PTS? Hardly surprising if the tight production schedule rumours are to be believed.
I would't read too much into the Lizard Green web page pic, Eric. The guy who supposedly saw it at the factory reckoned it was lighter than Viper.
