Could be - definately a failure of concentration on his part - he stopped monitoring his mirrors, probably "zoning out" on the guy who just passed him. It could be that the first car to pass him was lucky to squeak by...
He did a good job regaining his own control and avoiding the obstruction though. The other driver is probably lucky their involvement stopped there too. He probably caught the right side wall after he righted. I hope no one else caught up in the wreckage afterward.
It looks to me like he must have hit the gt3 in the right rear quarter, sending its tail off the pavement, where the left rear wheel dug into the sod because it was carrying a lot of the shifted weight at that moment. I dont think it had to hit the wall in order to roll like that. You can see the red passenger-side side-view mirrow flash in the interior rear-view just befor the collision - it gives me the impression that the GT3 was moving A LOT faster than the camera car.
