    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

If you're near Belgium visit the guys at Europipe
    http://www.europipe.be/1024.html

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

I hear europipe and milltek are the best. Milltek claims 30 h.p.

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

yes i would like to choose the most powerful.. thats what matters to me...i saw the prices of sportec in the site but i dont know how much is sFr 9000,00, anybody to dollar or euro?
    price of europipe? THANKSSS!

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

europipe is $5K installed in the U.S. Milltek is about the same but they have a 24 hour sale to buy it for $3500 and pay for installation.

    9.000CHF = 5.508 Eur = 8.183 usd

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

Sportec has electronic throttles that open/close depending on throttle, boost, rpm etc so not really comparable with the others.. Expect power gains to be similar for all aftermkt exhausts. Its down to sound preference, build quality and price. Only way to know is to hear them in person.. And you ll need to chip your car to really notice the difference! It becomes a different car!

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

Looked at all exhausts & ultimately bought a tubi a couple of weeks ago. europipe was my 2nd choice then cargraphic. Spoke to guys that sell & install Milltek, fabspeed, AWE, etc. & they recommend tubi based on sound & quality. Spoke to Alex from Shark Werks, he's installed all of the above & ranked tubi #1. A couple of guys on 6 speed recently switched their Milltek exhausts to the tubi. I was already leaning towards tubi based on recommendations from installers & based on the quality that I've seen on tubi's Ferrari systems when I heard the 997 turbo tubi in person & that sealed my decision. Plus the tubi is a fully welded system, I didn't like the idea of the parts of the system being held together with clamps & straps. The tubi is a little more money than the Milltek etc. but worth it.

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

Pic. copied from 6 speed/Shark Werks. This is one of the guys that switched to a tubi from Milltek

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

I finally got my soundcard working and was able to listen to the sound clips you posted. I think you made the right choice (seems you always do) with the Tubi! Alex from Sharkwerks is a real class act!

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

I've got a Sportec exhaust, which I chose not to be too noisy", although much better than the standard one! I will surely recommend it for a non-extreme set up!

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

I have the Tubi exhaust on mine and love it!!!!

I have not done the headers yet and would love to hear some feedback on them.

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

How is the sound quality on the Tubi? All the clips sound awesome.

I have just been told by TubiSytle that in their R&D for the Turbo exhaust they couldn't improve much on the OEM headers, so they concluded the OEM headers were fine as they are.

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

In doing research on headers/exhaust systems, I found that there's really not that much of a benefit to swap out headers on a turbocharged car. However on a normally aspirated car, that'd be another story.

Ditto - the guys at Europipe built and tested headers for the 997 Turbo but couldn't measure consistent performance gains on the dyno.

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

so with US 4000 what exhaust can i buy??

i will be in europe but i think that worth buy it in USA and send it to europe because the difference of EURO/US
anyone can help me with prices...

10-4 you are right, however headers help more with the torque on the TT

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

I have the Cargraphic TUV Sound version which is good for 25 HP, has no resonance and sounds great. Not too loud yet it allows the motor to rev.

    PRICE OF IT??

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

3,495 Euro plus shipping and installation, about 4 hours at Porsche dealer.

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

After hearing the low deap tones of the stock exhaust on my MY08 Turbo I picked up today, I am now re-thinking whether I need a sports exhaust at all.

Certainly not the 'vacuum cleaner' sounds that earlier models produced.

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

I put on the Milltek and love the sound.
Already had Fabspeed tips which fitted perfectly.
Pipes cost approx 1800 pounds sterling in the UK

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

I like my fabspeed quite the event when you rev em up in a parking lot.

Agree, they def improved the sound, still needs more imo.

    Re: 997TT exhaust choice..

does the exhaust change affect the car's warranty? only exhaust system, no chips or anything else.
