    OH MY GOD ! - got a porsche freebie

    yesterday i went out to get the mail and mixed in with the usual drivvle was a "priority mail" communique from porsche along with christophorus...well i assumed it was a recall notice or something like that... nope it was a rather nice black piece on the gt2...offering to go to a porsche web site and enter a rt specific code # and receive in 7 to 10 business days a hard cover book on the gt2....which i naturally did sooner rather than later...did every turbo buyer get one, cause i have a launch car who knows

    whats with this on a car you apparently cant buy due to the limited production... i would ( mistakenly of course ) take this as an offer to go order one at my local friendlyish dealer....much as dodge did for initial buyers of the viper roadster when the coupe came out and was in short supply

    What's with this Christophorus magazine? Other than a few pictures of Porsches it seems to be watch catalog. Does anyone actually pay money to subscribe to this?

    I recieved the book Wedesday. Each book is numbered. Mine is #54 of 2500. The book is composed of pictures of the GT2 in the round so to speak.

    Each book is hand-numbered. The first page is black on each side. The next page is gray with "LIMITED EDITION" in the middle of the page with 54/2500 hand-numbered below it. My letter stated that my dealer had recognized me as a valued enthusiast with a passion for the type of performance only a Porsche can deliver. Of course I will be getting the only GT2 my dealer has coming for 2008.

    Did'nt get a GT2 book but got a turbo book, brown hard cover with brown turbo cab inside,its not numbered though,,it came in a black fabric case.

    Looks like Porsche didn't forget about us the Canadians, I got the notice over the weekend, only about 2 weeks AFTER the Americans

    Funny, I just called Porsche about this very same book. I still haven't gotten mine. The nice lady at PCNA told me that they're still waiting for their shipment of "360" books to arrive and will be sending those out soon. When I asked how it was determined who would receive this "offer" she explained that it's done completely at random based on whatever "online" information that was given to them. I guess that signing up for online notifications of Porsche news might have had made a difference. I should be getting mine within a week.

    I signed up with them and was emailed that I would be getting the actual book in 7-10 days.

    I think the offer was mailed to all current TT owners and those who responds gets a book.

    I think I am in trouble already, my son is ALL OVER the GT2 pic in the notice.........

    Why would you guess that? Larry didn't get one and a couple other TT owners I know also didn't get one. Like the lady at PCNA said, it was sent out at random.

    Jason still waiting for mine? Got my Certificate of Authenticity though, only problem is they left out 12 options! I talked to the nice lady today and she will fix it.
