I watched it last night on Fifth Gear. Tiff in the 430 Scuderia was as quick around Fiorano as he was in the Enzo. That doesn't mean that a Ferrari test driver would produce the same times in both cars though...just that Tiff did the same time in both cars. But Tiff is a good driver so it certainly counts for something.
I just thought the sight of this guy (who is no longer young) driving around Modena making a lot of noise to get attention was just a little comical...

The official ferrari-testdriver is also as quick in the 430 Scuderia as he is in the Enzo.
He mentioned, it's because of the Scuderias ability of later braking and sooner accelerating.
Official time for both is 1:25 - what time did tiff achieve?

The next Ferrari Supercar better have something for that ass ... cause I can hear a lot of grumbling from Enzo owners already. How the hell is your entry level model in semi-race trim going to be as quick than your hypercar!
Enzo prices are going to come down somewhat I guarantee and 430 Scud prices will escalate.

There are 5 years difference between them.
For example the F430 laps just like F50.
It`s normal development, and you have to take in consideration that nowadays they get to implement solutions faster than they did in the past.

F430 and F50 is a fair comparison. There's what, a 10 year R&D gap between the two.
But the F430 was released BEFORE the Enzo ... the 430 Scud is essentially a tweaked F430, so it stands to reason those improvements and developments could have been put in the Enzo.
Much in same the FXX is a highly tweaked Enzo.
I mean, it's just really bad form in my opinion to charge god ass amount of the Enzo did and then 4 years later show a model that does the same time with less power at 1/2 the cost.

New F450 will be a MONSTER! Too bad about the significant wait times for the Scud (and most other Ferraris). Should one wait for the F450 or take the plunge for a Scud? IMO, current F430 owners would be better served waiting for the F450 while non owners might as well go ahead and order the Scud - just my opinion.
