They are nicer than I anticipated. Congratulations. I was going to order these but you said it was the last set. I went to the url I posted and they have disappeared. Do you know if they are getting more? The next time I find something I plan to order, I will order then post. LOL. Oh well - you snooze, you lose.

Ahhh dude, I'm sorry Dufffy.. I didn't realize you planned on ordering them, you didn't mention it. I asked about a group discount because Jason mentioned he might be interested if we could get a group buy, that's when they told me they only had the one set. I just emailed them to ask if they will get another set. Also I know Champion mentioned to me that they planned on getting them so if you want I can check w/ them or if I see them I will let you know. I'm sure there has to be more sets around somewhere.

Re: I think I've narrowed my After-Market Wheel Se

Maybe if they ever get some more, I'd get some. Until then, I'll just drool over the ones you'll have on yours.

Re: I think I've narrowed my After-Market Wheel Se

Drooling over lug nuts.... we got serious isues

Re: I think I've narrowed my After-Market Wheel Se

they looked so good, maybe you should order another to put them on display on the coffee table.

Re: I think I've narrowed my After-Market Wheel Se

    how about that one?

Re: I think I've narrowed my After-Market Wheel Se

My oh my. Gregg, the bolts are exquisite! I mean they do look very very VERY nice; that they serve a function is pure icing on the cake LOL. I am passing on these things, but for how long, I don't know.
The same poster on rennlist (that I mentioned in this monster thread earlier) who gave PCCB the edge only in weight also always encourages making wheels AND bolts lighter. All unsprung weight, all critical to him.

    Beautiful!

I'm curious, do they require anti-seize compound on the threads? I only ask because, I have had many experiences with ti parts on my titanium (frame) road racing bicycle. Many times dissimilar metals mated with titanium will "weld" together if the compound is not used. I don't know if this would apply to these bolts. I apologize if this was addressed and I missed it; due to this monster thread!

Thanks Can. They would look super slick on those P40's of yours. Champion has promised to inform me when they get them so if you or anyone else decides to buy them. Yeah when it comes to my cars I don't like to just buy stuff on a whim, like to take my time & find out as much as there is to learn before making a decision. I enjoy that part of the process. You know.

I checked w/ Champion, they have been using these same bolts on their wheels. My salesman checked w/ the Tech's & they said it's not needed. But I also have a call into Poggipolini in Italy to confirm.

Oh ps: rec. ft lbs. = 95

Re: I think I've narrowed my After-Market Wheel Se

Those Sportecs look insane. But at 8000/set holy moly expensive.

Re: I think I've narrowed my After-Market Wheel Se

Gregg - I received this email from Poggipolini conerning the torque of the titanium bolts. Cory is from Allentown Pennsylvania and has been very helpful. If you need his email address for anything, email me and I will give it to you.

    WONDERFUL!

    Happy New Year

I have the titanium lug bolts and use the Porsche recommended 96 ft lbs - never had an issue. I'd be worried about using 160 nm since that's about 118 ft lbs

Sorry I'm so out-of-it but can someone tell the story behind these extreme wheels?

Oh, BTW, Any chance of a discount if you actually have a paid subscription to Christophorus?

    Thanks Duffy!

    I spoke w/ Cory a couple of times, he's a good guy.

Like Jeff 95/96ft lbs was recommended to me by Champion. I'd be curious to hear what Cory says about the rec. difference in torque.

Which wheels will you be using the Titanium bolts on?

Happy New Year to you too!!!!

    Here's a pic I took of my CS's wheels.

On second thought those wheels look kinda gaudy.

I'm just going crazy to which wheel would complete my turbo.

I think Im begginning to like the stocks! lol

I am like you, there are days I hate my wheels and there are days I think they give the TT a unique personality so I am not sure if I should change the wheels or not. I will stay with 19" if I get new wheels

I am going to get in touch with Cory and clarify the torque of the Titanium Bolts.

I will probably keep the factory wheels for a while. My MSRP is over 167,000 and, since I plan on doing the exhaust, ecu, and, based on the feedback from Atomic80 and Eclou, the PSS10s, the wheels can wait. When I do the wheels, they will be either Champion 171s or 9 spoke carbon/magnesium Dymags. I don't know much about the Dymags but they look gorgeous. May not be practical for pot hole ridden Western Pennsylvania. Anybody have any experience with them?
