How do you check to see if your PSM is working?

I wonder if my PSM is working on my Turbo

I had a little fishtailing..., ahem..., "event" occur and didn't feel PSM intervention and don't remember the PSM light coming on (I think I would have noticed it in all the commotion).

Is there a way to check it?

I am able to make my BoxsterS and my former 997S activate PSM by getting frisky on a few familiar curves around here ("safely," of course).

Because of the HP and PTM I'm afraid to do the same thing with my Turbo.

Maybe the PSM intervention on TT is NOT like intervention in 986S and 997S?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There would be a dash light indicating PSM failure/malfunction in case there is one.
The way to check is to drive it hard but not necessarily fast up a tight curvy road in first or second gear. PSM will allow some degree of oversteer before you see the light come on. The safest way is to take it to the track, or even an autocross will do.
My light comes on so frequently during AX or DE that I turn it off all the time now, not on the street though.

I would not advise this, but a hard launch can "inspire" the PSM to come on at certain times. It won't be great for your clutch/gearbox/tip whatever though.

That said, if you are really worried, have the dealer check the system/lights/fuses next time the car is in for service.

Find a dirt road or a road with loose gravel or any type of road with traction compromised then try turning while giving it gas and you should PSM kick in. Works in my Boxster.
