My problem with Top Gear, Fifth Gear, and even the AutoCar videos is that the onboard cameras tend to face the drivers rather than sitting between the driver and passenger seats to allow the audience to see what is going on ahead. I prefer watching a driver work his way around the corner through the steering wheel and how it relates from his perspective.
I hate when they say, "The car has a hint of understeer" and all we get is an outside shot of the car eagerly entering into a corner. It would be awesome if we could see it happen from almost the same perspective of the driver. Doing this when the Stig does his fastlap would be exciting and a sense of speed might be better appreciated. This is why I love watching Best MOTORing videos. The UK shows have more entertainment value with the added drama but I am not here to watch them talk to the camera. I'd rather see what they are seeing. Just my point of view.
