Re: full options list for 430 scud

    thanks

    no black wheels

Re: full options list for 430 scud

Is there maybe a price list available?

Re: full options list for 430 scud

So it's true, that all the nice CF-goodies only come as an option.

Not very nice for a car, which base price is 206.300 Euro...

With all CF options and some other goodies Scuderia will cost almost Euro 250K in Germany...

For this amount of money, I would rather buy a 599.

Re: full options list for 430 scud

Agree. And keep in mind that fully specd 997 GT2 cost around Euro 210K. For Euro 40K you can buy nice daily commuter a la R32...

That's $350K USD. Ouch! There's a lot of guys that will still go for it.

Re: full options list for 430 scud

spare a thought for us in the UK ...base car is Pounds172.5 k plus goodies it will easily be Pounds200k .... then add premium ...Pounds250k anyone ?!

Re: full options list for 430 scud

Ferraris are getting quite expensive lately. 599's are rarely sold under EUR 270/280,000 and I've heard that ceramics will be standard from next MY.
IMHO Ferrari is preparing the introduction of the 911-turbo-priced Dino by moving the price level of the current range up.

Re: full options list for 430 scud

Doubt F (or any car mfr) will survive very long making 6K cars/yr w/no real price increases....these car brands can't survive as non-profits forever, even if buried in a poorly-run car mfr....

As long as F can incr prices/produc vols/profit margins....and appropriately re-invest gains in productive R&D (esp safety engineering), I suspect consumers (and any investors in future F spinoff/sale, etc) will ultimately benefit...

An innovative, financially vibrant F will force P to accelerate its lethargic R&D productivity to compete (if P's safety advantage over F disappears, P will be largely irrelevant)....and/or lim P's ability to raise prices on its ever-faster-depreciating, archaic-tech cars...after all, nostalgia-seeking Luddites keep dying off each yr...

Not only from next MY on... PCCB will be mandatory with immediate effect (saw a letter of Ferrari Deutschland dated October 1, 2007). Also, the base price will increase not only by Euro 15k (CCB price) but by 25k

    This is insane.

Sounds like you're right. Rather than a gigantic price increase they're trying to hide it a bit by stuff like standard ceramic breaks for 25K.(a separate line item on vehicle price that you don't have a choice on) They must have an idea of what people will tolerate and are shooting for that.

Re: full options list for 430 scud

Porsche did the same trick when they introduced the 997 "S" above the "new" 997 which basically was a restyled 996.

But I have been saying this loud for a long time, why wouldn't F raise their price? The waiting lists are getting too long, production is limited, the raises they are talking about are too small IMHO. 599 are still trading almost $200k above MSRP in the US...

I think the reason they don't is psychological. If they hike prices than that is used as a comparison point and it makes the cars look ridiculous compared to the competition. If they separate it out then it softens the blow and they can still argue the car it is in line with competitor vehicles in the same class.

25k for CCM, when you get the same from Lamborghini for 12k and from Porsche for even less than 9k?

Common sense tells me that this can't be true, but if you're right, I have to say Ferrari goes totally nuts.

Re: full options list for 430 scud

Well, the 25k is the total price increase which includes CCB... Strictly speaking that does not imply that CCB costs 25k

Alright, so you get some floor mats as well for that money.

But seriously, with carbon ceramic brakes becoming more and more common at high end sports cars as well as cars like the RS-models from Audi, prices should rather go down instead of up.

...probably the world ceramic market is going nuts because of the high demand for CRM brakes.

Hm, I better hoard some tiles and tableware fast

And when I ever sell my car, I will do so in pieces, gives me the highest profit.

Re: full options list for 430 scud

Wow, that will get quiet expensive. I guess Ferrari took a lesson from Porsche...
