    Hi guys,

    Here are the other photos of the track day (where I saw the Zonda), I hope you will enjoy them!

    Definitely an evocative array of cars there. I love the photographs Mike! I miss the good old days when Kyalami circuit was holding World Superbike and MotoGP races on the calender. Thanks for sharing the love.

    The turnout was definately one of the best we've had thus far. Yes, sadly the last form of international motorsport was removed a year or two ago. That was the MotoGP at Phakisa Raceway in Welkom There are rumours suggesting F1 could come back within the next 5 years here...

    That's right, Phakisa Raceway at Welkom. Am I getting old?

    Must have been fun! So tell us, do you have any pictures of the 'fastest' drivers and their cars lapping the circuit? I am just curious.

    I didn't bother to go ask for the laptimes but I'm sure I wasn't up there - there was some seriously quick drivers that day, I shudder to think at the speeds they take some of the corners

    I didn't take too many photos as most of my time was spent on the track - I'll try see what there is and post them up for you.

    Amazing group of cars, but I find it interesting for a track day, that no one has tool boxes, extra tires, jacks, gas cans, or spare part lying around. Not one person seems to be working on their car?

    Also, for such an expensive group of cars, no one has bothered to tape their headlights or the quarter panels. Everytime I go on the track, I wrap my car like a condom on a holiday in Amsterdam.

    There was quite a few guys that brought spare parts etc. etc. the hardcore GT2's, GT40's drivers had tanks of race fuel all over the place. I just didn't think taking pictures of toolboxes and gas tanks to be attractive

    Most of them have 3M film on their cars just as I do on all of mine, other guys are still new to it and don't know any better.

    Which club is this? I'd like to join. Found a VentureShield installer.He tells me I am his first client in SA(slightly worried about this). Will be doing the car on the 26th.Following the whole 3M vs VentureShield debate decided to go with the latter, even at roughly twice the 3M quote.Hope it's worth it.

    Hi Werner,

    If I may ask what did the Venture film guy quote you and for how much coverage on the vehicle? Also keep in mind the film is only as good as the installer. I'd recommend you sending it to that guy I gave you the details for, he is really that good. 3M also have a much better backup system and warranty. I'd be skeptical to the the guinea pig

    It's not really a club, I'll let you know next time we have another get together!
