    V-Flow Air Intake w/After Market Exhaust

    Hi everybody, I was wondering if someone here has ever had the opportunity to fit the Evoms V-flow air intake on a C2S engine.

    More specifically I'd like someone to share his/her thoughts confirming/declining any power-delivery/increase gains. Good also to let us know if this particular system has been combined with an aftermarket exhaust such as the Europipe I currently use.

    What I'm looking for is to find out if the V-flow technology worths the money/effort given my recent investment on the exhaust sytem or it's just a well-advertised item that would probably work better as a stand-alone engine improvement.

    Evolution Motorsports advertise their system as the unrivaled intake that's being utilized by almost every Porsche 997 participating in the Grand AM Cup GS series due to its consistent and reliable power gains.

    I think you'll get a universal response that says "save your money". Any additional power gains to be had probably came from your exhaust - intake no. Even the Ruf supercharger kit just changes the stock filter to a BMC filter.

    true about the minimum power gain and feel, but if you combine it with new exhaust and Chip (computer software upgrade), you can feel the change in increase torque delivery throughout the power band

    if these modifications will negatively affect the resale of your car, just upgrade to a GT3, or wait for the facelifted 997, with increased bhp, and PDK... order it with the X51 power kit, and you should have a 400 bhp C2S as fast as today's GT3 :-)

    I have done the stage 1 upgrade from EVOMS (chip+airbox).. You will be surprised by the results. Read this link as I have posted results from my racelogic gps performancebox.

    As for the sound the Vflow makes it is perfect because at low rev you don't hear any big difference but if you press full throttle, after 5000rpm it blows your ears with a beautiful tune!!! Highly recommended

    I ordered one to check it out (nobody I knew had one) and returned it without even attempting to install it. Just wasn't happy with what I received. I'm also not a fan of oiled filters after the fouled MAF / CEL I received in my M3. On the other hand, I'm convinced of the gains with my AWE headers, cats, and mufflers, and the Revo software was much more than I expected. My next area of research will be the X51 intake -- might add that and be done... Well, maybe the plenum too...
