993TT Pics: Ready for Power Upgrade
My 993TT is ready for its planned power upgrade this fall-Protomotive stage 4 by Protosport, Inc. in northern New Jersey: 3.8L conversion with hybrid turbo's, either Garrett or BW, speed density (as opposed to mass air flow) system using an NA Motronic 993 ECU with all the proper intake, exhaust, intercooler and plumbing changes needed. The car is going there in 2-3 weeks!
One thing I did was buy another set of 996TT rims for it (11" in the rear so it can better handle 295 tires, instead of stock 285's), and I found a "graphite silver" set new from a Porsche dealer. When I got them, I thought they would look better on the 996TSCab, with the standard silver turbo wheels (both sets hollow spoke) best on the 993-since I am trying to keep the 993TT look as stock as possible to suit my conservative tastes.
