    Re: Granturismo

I love the concave grille element. Awesome color!

    Re: Granturismo

wow! please do post more pics and a your driving impressions!

    Re: Granturismo

Modrocket: Thank you. Color is Grigio Granito similar to Porsches Meteor.

Nick1: Will try to post more pics all I can say about the car for now is that is GORGEOUS in person.

    Re: Granturismo

Great LB, thanks for sharing. Congratulations. Suddenly I'm not too sure if my decision against the Maser and for the CL was right...

(are those the gunmetal rims? they look quite, well, standard to me?)

    Re: Granturismo

    Congrats!!! beautiful car.

    Re: Granturismo

Yes ZZboba.... the rims are the standard 19. Maserati seem to have overlooked that I have requested the option. However I am not too disappointed since I am just ecstatic about the car. As for the choice of the CL i do not think you should regret since it is an absolutely great car and the only reason I switched was due to my penchant for the Maserati brand.

    Re: Granturismo

    Grazie Ron

    Re: Granturismo

    Congrats, gorgeous car !

You must be the first Rennteamer to own one.

    Re: Granturismo

    gorgeous car. congrats lb

    Re: Granturismo

Absolutely stunning, mixture of performance art and style.

    Re: Granturismo

The more I see it, the more I like it!

Saw it in flesh for the first time in Frankfurt and car was beautiful from every angle.

Great choice, LB, congrats! Wheels do look great as well.

Looking forward to your driving impressions.

Absolutely agree, the looks of this car are excellent

BTW: do they sell a larger brake as an option? I was a bit shocked to see how small the brake discs of this car are... Is the performance of the standard brake OK?

AFAIK a larger brake is not (yet) available. In this respect Maserati lacks the variety of options that Ferrari offers.

Standard brakes should do for normal road use, I guess the Gran Turismo won't be driven on a track by most owners anyway.

Rossi is right I highly doubt I will ever track the car. I tend to do most of my driving at low speeds anyhow, however all whilst knowing I would be able to accelerate when required.

Below is a pic of my last Maser that I sold with 6k kms that definetly would not have been able to surive a track day(No Skyhook Option).

    Re: Granturismo

Gorgeous car LB, congrats. I've got one on order and have had a call to say I can have a December production slot if I want. I was originally down for and April slot. I'm torn on making a decision as the dual tone interior will not be available in December production and having seen pics of a car at Frankfurt (see pic below) I'd love to get this option with a black & beige (tan) interior.

    Re: Granturismo

Thank you ISUK. I too would have opted with a dual tone interior similar to that of the Gransport. However I would prefer to enjoy the cars novelty factor before waiting for all desired options to become available.

I personally went for the bourdeaux interior color scheme since i had it on the previous Maserati.

    Re: Granturismo

    Congrats LB! You baller

The new Maser is a definate head turner compared to the old one. I absolutely love the bourdeaux interior! Never had that colour as an interior on a car before

Hoping you will take more pics in the sun and out on the road when possible

    Re: Granturismo

very nice GT car, congrats !!!

For sure that must be the first delivery in Spain, and probably the first rennteamer

How do you like the sound?...

    Re: Granturismo

It's an amazing car.. I went to a Maserati dealer in italy to check it out and its just gorgeous!

    Congrats!!

the only thing i didn't like in the car is the rims.
It's the same design as the Mazda 3/6 has!

    Re: Granturismo

congrats....you have the most beautiful car in its segment...no other can match the maser as beauty and class.....great buy....

I agree with you ...you don't buy a granturismo to track it...bui for cruising and if needed...you have the v8...

    my best compliments..

    Re: Granturismo

    Congrats LB, looks very nice

Now take it out in the sun and take some proper pics of it

    Re: Granturismo

LB you convinced me not to wait I went to my dealer today to finalise my colour scheme. All being well I'll get the car in early January Look forward to update reports from you on your car to keep me going in the meantime

AFAIK the Granturismo is due to receive the new V8 (i.e. the Alfa 8C's) next year, maybe during the first semestre so you may want to wait ?

    Re: Granturismo

I believe the model range is being expanded and there will be a 4.7ltr version of the engine at some point (possibly late 2008) but the 4.3 will remain in the line up AFAIK. I've got a few performance cars already so I'm not worried that there will be a larger engine at a later date. I'm looking at this car as a relaxed GT and daily driver but thanks for flagging it up
