    P15/Senna

Awful IMO. It's Like McLaren tapped Lamborghini's bodykit team. It's a high down force 720S with with the skin removed. Very disappointing.

Supposedly 800 cv, 800 nm, 1200 kg, some active aero in the front bumper and the rear wing. Door seems to have a glass panel so you can see into the cabin where your legs are.

This is ugly and so is the Mercedes One. Maybe the desired performance level that we're at now means the cars need to be ugly and function over fo

And you are one of their fans?   But this time I will guess the majority will agree with you.

    Dat wing indecision

    Re: P15/Senna -- Yuck

Its certainly not pretty, but that is not the ethos of the car. it was hard to take everything in this evening at the Winter Ball given the melee around the car. Its an extreme manifestation of form follows function - let's wait and see what the performance/ track time figures come in at. It better be good though given the name it has been given - that is a heavy weight to carry on one's shoulders.

    Re: P15/Senna -- Yuck

They really should have put a better face on the car.

It's a face that not even a mother could love.

    Absolutely nuts!

    Re: P15/Senna -- Yuck

Faster than a GT3 race car or quicker? Faster can often just be top speed.

For it to be quicker than a GT3 race car, it would need more power (which it has), downforce (which that wing and bumper active aero seem to supply), slicks, and for the given weight to be closer to wet than dry.

    Re: P15/Senna -- Yuck

That's not a goo looking vehicle. The official pics look better than the real life above, but that's not saying much. They should see if they cam license "function before fashion" for their marketing campaign.

I guess that's the first coupe in the world where the owner's hairy legs are a design item.

This is the ugliest thing one of the prime sports car manufacturers come up with

Alfa Romeo did that over 30 years ago with the 75 and got slated for it in terms of bad ergonomics. It is still a stupid place to put them.

MSO would be best advised to quickly perfect a Klingon cloaking device as an option for this car Smiley

    Re: P15/Senna -- Yuck

Best comment I've seen thus far is that they chose the wrong driver to name it after. It should have been called the "Prost" with that huge, angular nose

    Re: P15/Senna -- Yuck

A really disappointing piece from Mc Laren in terms of design for sure,

Performance should be top level, but this is not enough in this segment.

    Re: P15/Senna -- Yuck

Form follows function , in this case form is a long way back.

I guess will have record breaking performance but that’s it (imho) .

They should have kept giving numbers to their cars and let in peace the Senna name.

There new cars now: 812 Superfast, GT2RS, and Senna all with an aero-led design language that is going to take some getting used to.

    Re: P15/Senna -- Yuck

I think I will wait for the McLaren The Alonso.

V6 turbo hybrid powered from Honda.

Guaranteed to not work, so it will be a collector's piece as it won't and can't be driven.

Good video that shows it all. It's a very complex car no doubt. It's disappointing though in that it really does look like more of a track car than anything. Amazing track car, but I don't think it's a good road car.

Link? I didn't find anything on Google that looked like this. I think this looks fine. Doesn't seem to be an ergonomic issue for what this car is. They aren't really buttons you interact with often.

ISUK is definitely right, here it is (and more than one Alfa had it in the eighties).

    Re: P15/Senna -- Yuck

So cue the people who are going to order the vanity plate P15S ...
That is even better than the Ferrari F**K!

Anyway, I didn't like it too much from the first pictures, but I guess it's growing on me. As long as you expect a longtail car, it looks quite nice...
