    Scuderia Hanseat 2018

    Scuderia Hanseat Course Dates 2018 are here!


    Dear Gentlemen Drivers, dear Friends of the Scuderia Hanseat, 

    Just this moment we have received fixed dates for our 2018 courses as follows:.

    May 1 – 4, 2018                                 Tuesday - Friday
    September 23 – 26, 2018                     Sunday - Wednesday

    We think that these are suitable dates indeed and that therefore these dates are good news for the Scuderia Hanseat family.

    The other good news is that we will be able to drive continuously from 08:00 am to 7:30 pm in 2018, without restricted driving over lunch time. 

     

    60 Years of Scuderia Hanseat

    In May 1958, the “International Sports Drivers’ Course Nürburgring” was performed by the Scuderia Hanseat for the first time. We look forward to duly celebrating this 60th anniversary in the coming year. And we would be delighted if we could celebrate this anniversary with fully booked courses and are therefore hoping for numerous registrations.

    Prices, Rebates and Conditions 2018 

    Not such good news is that we have to adjust our course price, according to rising costs at the Ring, also for 2018.

    Unfortunately, modern weather apps can result in numerous, very short-term cancellations and re-bookings due to bad weather forecasts. This forces us also to adjust the cancellation conditions for 2018.

    At the same time, we would like to point out that a cancellation insurance can be taken out for our course fee. These kind of insurances are offered by the same classical institutions who offer travel cancellation insurances. We have checked this with the following two providers:

    - Allianz Deutschland 
    - HanseMerkur Versicherungsgruppe

    I very nearly signed up, but then realised that if I did SH then I couldn’t really make the Porsche Cup event at Mugello - so decided to drop out of this one. Going to do Destination Nürburgring Ringmeisters event in August instead - should be nice as it is limited to 120 cars..

    ..... so did I  ( a bit sad to miss it again as it is the very best for driving time, conditions and what you get for ) . But doing the  Ring with DN on the 27 and 28 August will also be fantastic . Mugello end of September ( Swiss Porsche Cup event )

    Paul Richard in June also during the Porsche Swiss Cup  and probably Imola beginning of July

    Eric - it's Paul Ricard btw...  ..or was.  I just checked the F1 calendar this year and it is down as Le Castellet.  I guess they just keep the historic Paul Ricard signs there..

    "This year we already celebrate our 60th anniversary, what a great tradition

    However, end of January will be comming soon. At that time our Early Booking Rebate offer will expire. In order to still enjoy the rebate, the registration as well as the payment must be submitted to us within the next few days.

    We currently have round about 150 bookings for the May course and 130 bookings for the September course. This makes us confident that we will have two fully booked courses in 2018 again.

    If you are planning to bring friends and acquaintances to the course, they also should decide soon, so that a classification into the desired group will still be possible. In addition, we are planning the formation of a women's group, guided  by Rahel Frey. It would be great if your wife, doughter, friend or acquaintance would accept this challenge.

    As I said, time flies quickly, and so I am looking forward to seeing you again at the Ring.
