Re: One sunny Friday afternoon...
Easy rider: cobblestones don't go well together with this car, you guessed it. I just have to go that much slower than everybody, but I think all the drivers around me understand. I have to slow up traffic once in a while to crawling pace, just yesterday, my colleague had to get out of the car and show me where to go because we encountered some nasty road work. What I really can't stand in any car, let alone in this one, is speed bumps. We don't have the nice and mellow ones like in the US, but sharp and tall ones, as if everybody has to mandatorily have Skodas. Ugh. Btw, I am Czech, and I am not bashing regular cars. It's just that this sort of attitude is evident everywhere - driveway slopes, underground parking slopes, railroad crossings, etc.
The sound is something else, I agree. I now have 1350 km and rev it a little above 5 thousand, which translates to 210 km/h in sixth, so I hear more of the exhaust and less of the engine. The sport button is a little superfluous if you think about it in this sort of car, but I agree it's nice to have an option to tone it down when you have the need.
As for the color white, I wouldn't have it any other day since the very first time two years ago when I first saw the official pictures (back then still with red calipers). I really had an easy decision process and am greatful for that. (have to put an ! in here) White, PCCB, radio, end of story. No chewing nails about all sorts of options.
