Natural Grey is almost black so it would look okay with a white car but imo if I was buying a GT2 I'd want it to look as sporty as possible. The closer the color combo's are to the WHOLE idea of a car like the GT2 the better and will stand the test of time not just what your favorite color preferances may be at this time. The contast of white against black is more appealing to me than white w/ grey because the grey reduces the contast & looks less high-tech/sporty to me... So w/ that said imo the only interior color I would get with a white car would be black. IMO black is the most sporty color for the 997 interior. Red is also an interesting option but 1st choice for me will always be black.

White is a neutral color. It goes with anything.
So if you want a neutral colored car, sure, white and grey work fine, as grey is a value of black.
If you want to make a statement, and want white as your exterior color, you should pick something unique for the interior.
White over Natural Brown leather would look particularly handsome. I also like dark blue and blood red interiors. Grey is too sterile in my opinion, but many find it a "clean" look.

that's exactl the point. only natural grey and black are available fo the interior. unfortunately.
kreso, does the natural grey feature black alcantara or grey alcantara.
what is annoying as well, if you spec both carbon packages, you get the carbon [beep]. i would much more prefer the alcantara shifter and still have both carbon packages.
and yes,....still no solution for pcm leather.

I just went through this decision on my white Nov build TT. I elected to get the natural gray leather, but ordered black deviating carpets (thanks Atomic80!) I spent a lot of time at the dealer with big pieces of leather (about 30" squares) of black and natural gray, and concluded the natural gray had it hands down over the black. What I did not like, however, is the natural gray carpets are considerably lighter in shade than the leather; hence the black carpets. Also, there are no factory mats available in natural gray; black mats are substituted by Porsche when you order gray.

Looking at the GT2 Configurator, which is in English under 'Other Countries' in 'Europe' on the Porsche.com website it appears there are three choices for interior:
Black - full leather ie no alcantara
Black- leather/alcantara
Grey - leather/alcantara
Personally I think the alcantara wheel/gearstick/handbrake etc makes the car feel far more like a GT3/RS in nature, whereas the full leather makes it feel more like a Turbo.....

GT Silver with Black Leather/Black Alcantara for me.

2. XSC is available for the bucket seats
Please note, that not all EXC options are available for the first cars,
some are not possible to order before 02/2008.

I believe it's the same. "Black" alcantara is closer to Natural grey leather anyway: Alcantara as a material always looks unsaturated / soft / "faded". I doubt it's possible to achieve true blackness with it.

Don't order the small Carbon package (803) from the factory. Make sure your dealer has a Tequipment Carbon Dashboard Enhancement Package in stock, and let him install it when your car arrives.
That way, you get what you're looking for. Tequipment packages are set up differently from the corresponding factory options: the shifter and e-brake are not part of the Carbon dashboard package, but are sold together with the steering wheel.
(However, do order the extended carbon package (EAD) from the factory, as it's not available in any form from Tequipment. The Tequipment dashboard enhancement package only covers the thin trim strip: the vents cannot be retrofitted.)
