    Any speculation re: subtle changes for MY08 599 to F1 box, chassis hardware/software, etc?...or is Scud to be the launch pad for latest-tech from F for MY08?

    Remarkably, I have heard nothing bad about the durability of the 599GTB yet However, most buyers don't seem to do many kms with this car. I will be different. I will do 25k kms p.a.

    Regarding high-speed stability I can only refer to my test drive with the car. High-speed stability is very good. Aerodynamics seem to work. The car is remarkably stable even in fast bends at >250kph.

    Regarding smaller (continuous) changes (also including F1) I would always suspect that Ferrari is updating their cars on a frequent basis. This has been their approach for the last decade or so. However, you get 99% of the mods automatically when you car is in for its regular service. So basically, all cars have the same technical standard

    Have also heard uniformly positive/glowing reviews of 599 dynamics/durability from guys who have driven 599 regularly (though at a mere <15K km/yr pace; lots of mtn twisties/urban commuting, but no derestricted AB)...

    Suspect your impressions of 20K+ km/yr driving in Germany, esp AB, will prob be among the best stress tests of any privately-owned 599 on planet....

    Agree...most software updates will be incorporated at svc visits, but I would think any changes to hardware (e.g., faster computer chips, different chassis viscoelastics, different CCB materials, etc) will be subtle changes that can't be easily updated...

    It is always the "classic" Ferraris that stand out to me when looking at pictures of such events, probably because they are in pristine conditions.

    And this Daytona is the most beautiful that I have ever seen, also the first one in black and it has surely something to do with that.
