    Turbo V RS

    Hi, this is my 1st post!

    I have an allocation for the RS, but I am seriously thinking to change it and wait for the DI 500+hp face-lift TT.

    I mainly drive it on street/B road and I want the Street KING, so which car will be faster and more suitable for that?

    I don't need back seats, but I don't mind to have them and I love turbo power plus nice music system, however I also love the hardcore and engine sound from the RS.

    Any suggestions?

    Turbo with a proper exhaust system?

    Personaly the only car I would trade my Turbo in for would be a green RS. Although I think I'd miss my turbo in terms of speed the RS would make up for it with the fun factor. But then again I can see getting annoyed when i wanna do my errands and I have this green racing machine then I'm scooting around town in. That being said you only live once and a green RS would just be insane to own.

    Don't know how tuff your are - but as a daily driver, especially in Japan, there is no better choice than a turbo!

    Take a Sporcat and muffler bypass and you will rock your island;-))

    What exactly do you mean by street king.

    A GT3 is way more fun then a turbo.So my guess is that the GT3RS will be even better.

    If you want a daily, the turbo wil be fine. But it does not give the satisfaction a GT3 gives you.

    Even for a daily car, I'd be considering a GT3 if I had the cash.

    I think if you want a street king, you need the car with the most stickers on it. The Gt3RS wins

    Street/B roads I would think the RS is the way to go. You're not going to be able to fully exploit the TT's power on B roads.
    Personally I would take the purest form of the 911, the GT3RS. It is a harder/edgier ride that will thrill all your senses. Put an exhaust on the RS and listen to the music at 8400rpms!

    The TT will likely NOT be facelifted, maybe they will issue a special TT-S/powerkit, but as per Porsche's history, the TT will not go any major exterior changes,

    If Street King means the car most suitable for beating all other cars racing in all condition on public road, then 997TT it is.

    And if it's not fast enough, you can modify it.

    GT2 is rwd so I think if I go with the turbo i will buy tt, but still RS is looking good too...

    I think you are right.

    But the TT also have 4wd to put down all the power on the road?

    Oh no, I want both!

    Porsche will do anything to increase sales.

    I think the mk2 TT will at least increase the h power over 500 with DI and with all LED lighting etc.

    Great with your idea.

    Black TT is what I want, but the RS is so cool....

    No pic of the TT, only the cars that followed it, the guy claims he didn't have time to shoot it... No real confirm...

    maybe you are right, but turbo is easy to mod anyway.

    thanks for the pic, but i think that looks too much alike the normal GT3, so if I buy the RS, green is the way to go.

    They don't need to do much:
    LED rear light with same form factor
    fix PTM
    add bluetooth and iPod
    maybe DFI engines but at this stage why bother.

    DFI or not, do you think there will be hp increase?

    Never been to Japan, but if roads are like Long Island, NY, then by all means get the TT. The TT is the road king here, unless your gonna get a Veyron. You can mod the TT for a modest amount of money and give yourself very usable power. The RS, comparatively speaking, has modest torque and a "peaky" powerband. Plus modding an RS to get 600-700 HP will be a herculean (if not impossible) task (you can get 600 plus HP out of a TT by spending $15K US - ie. EVOMS Stage 4 package).

    Actually, on the street/A/B roads or anywhere outside of a racetrack/road course, you will not be able to use half the handling powers of what the GT3RS is capable of, while you can fully use the 480hp/505lb-ft of torque from the Turbo motor each and every time you floor the throttle. You can only fully enjoy the GT3RS if you live on a race track. But it is a rare bird and you will probably not encounter another one on the road often.

    Personally, I asked myself this question, how often do I do corners at 0.9g? How often do I open the throttle to the floor? If your first answer is more than the second one, then by all means get th GT3RS as you will not be wasting the car. Handling on the Turbo is not up to GT3RS standard but it's already way past good enough for the street.

    Somehow, I think less than 10% of the RS's will ever see the track at any level above the green run group....

    I love to be fast in corners, so is that mean the first answer?

    That is one of the good thing about the TT, spending little and effort you can increase a lot hp.

    Seriously hard to deicde, personally I perfer the look and the exclusive of the RS, but I just love turbocharge engine.

    I think the turbo can do with more horsepower, I find myself flooring it too much.

    Turbo4ever: Buy the GT3RS, send it over to RUF to have it turbo-charged, and you will have your perfect car:)
