By the way I doubt any 928 is going to put a ruf 997tt to shame.
Well all I can use as comparison is REAL world numbers posted by people I believe
RC who posted on the Ruf powerkit in an every day setting;
http://www.rennteam.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=379816&an=0&page=1#379816
where he got these results;
Here are the results of the tested car (1620 kg weight):
Power at wheels: 357 kW or 486 HP
Max. lat. accel.: 1.1 G (Michelin Cup)
0-100 kph: 3.9 sec
0-200 kph: 11.1 sec
0-250 kph: 18.0 sec
0-300 kph: 32.1 sec
and a fellow 928 owner who i have done business with and who has a faultless reputation and his supercharged 928 achieved these numbers in a real world situation;
0-60 mph 3.79 sec
0-125 mph 10.6 sec
I believe the 928 wins here over a "Ruf".
"put to shame" is an expression just meaning who wins by the numbers. The Ruf and all 997/911 variants are tremendous perfomance machines which i appreciate and like.
This is a set-up that is durable and is well within the engine and transmission capabilities of the 928 for year after year use. The was 928 was built like a tank and is an amzzing vehicle. Own one or drive a good one, then tell me what you think.
Hib, if you want to know technical details of modding a 968/944 i suggest the other renn board. btw how fast do you really need to go.
