SciFrog:High turnover is never a good sign. That said, I can only imagine what it is to work at Tesla. The pressure to deliver is as enormous as Musk’s ego, resources are somewhat limited and it must be a struggle to impose a vision if different than what the boss decides.
Agree. But what is high turn over in this industry? people move on for different reasons. When Hochholdinger left Audi 3 years ago I'm sure that we didn't see any headlines...
There are many people in the Tesla core team that has been around since the start and then there is a mix of people who left and those who got kicked out because they didn't deliver.
Everything that can have a negative spinn get's blown out of proportions. Same thing with the Tesla Autopilot deaths and vehicle fires. In the big scheme of things there are very few accidents and fires. There is to date zero model 3 caught on fire even though there have been lot's of incidents.
Autopilot deaths are user errors. Seriously, if I had not monitored it while running, I would definitely have been involved in a major accident or dead. It is a level 2 system. If you abuse it, you will get in trouble. No different than using a knife by the blade instead of the handle.

Also, their employees are facing the risk of losing the job due to financial difficulties/shortages... Kind of a gambling environment, I feel.

You should call the police and talk to them, they can find out for you and contact that man.
E-Scooter: Too slow on the bicycle lane, too fast for the sidewalk. Monday someone already touch me on the sidewalk. Not enough space between the tables of the café and me. I prefer walking or the bicycle. And I am lucky, less than a minute after leaving the door I can enter the subway (both home and office).
You can go with a steady 22-24 kph (officially only 20 kph are legal), I'd say this is good enough for the bike lane. Only issue is weight, that IOHawk Sparrow I used with my kids weights over 12 kg. Pretty stable ride though, nothing ridiculous or weird about it, people were actually asking how much it costs and if it is street legal already (it will be exchanged to the legal version by the company for a small fee, already requested an exchange).

SciFrog:Why Is It "Cool" To Hate Tesla Motors?
I don't hate Tesla, not even close. I do not even "dislike" the cars, I just think that they are average in design and while the tech is certainly interesting and fun, especially for gadget lovers and nerds, this is not something I want to see in a car for now. There is zero emotional involvement in driving a Tesla, maybe as a daily driver for commuting from A to B and back but as a fun car? Nope.
I know that there are people who hate Tesla (for whatever reason) but there are also people who hate sports cars, so no big deal.

“Fun car” is relative. People fun cars here are top of the crop expensive sports cars. In the real world, “fun car” is a BMW 3 series (not even M3) and there the P Tesla sedan can really be tagged as fun cars. If anything else, acceleration and instant torque is something quite thrilling. I consider my Mini Cooper S convertible a fun car too. It serves no other purpose than that.

There are not many cars I would consider to be "fun" cars but I (think I) get your point.
I could see myself in an EV as a daily commuter from home to work and back home, mainly for publicity(!) reasons, so my customers get a different (green) impression of me but I'm not sure I really want this since I always enjoy the ride from home to work and back home and using an EV for this could be an issue for me. Probably depends on the EV. Maybe something very small and very quick could do the trick.
Btw: My son wants a V8 pickup truck as his first car, so I guess he comes after his father. Of course he would prefer a BMW M2 Competition instead or a Dodge Challenger SRT or whatever but I can live with the pickup idea, not so much with that M2 or Challenger SRT (my local dealer has a very sweet Challenger SRT Widebody, I wish I could get this car for my boy). Too young, too reckless (I guess), not going to happen.
The reason for the pickup truck? The V8 engine. He wants a good sounding engine and it seems this is the only way it can happen without putting him behind a wheel of a sports car. Still debating who is paying for fuel.

On a more serious note, Auke Hoekstra, a dutch scientist, has recalculated the CO2 impact of EVs in [1]. Tl;dr ? here is the short version [2].

Interesting to imagine that the entire supply chain might be reworked for battery powered manufacturing, but that seems a little sensational. Those gains are unlikely to materialize at the same rate nor with the same likelihood of success as those directly attributable to the EV and its fuel advantages. Thanks for posting.

class 4 is diesel vehicle 2003 models or petrol 1997.
Class 5 is now fully banned on big suburb as well...which represent 40 cities around Paris.

Of note, before the quarter production release, to show the overall bias of this place against Tesla, every day when the stock was plunging someone would post that Tesla was going bankrupt and it was not sustainable and that investors that backed them were in an untenable position.
Fast forward two months later and basically no one has mentioned the fact that the stock has rebounded over 25% from the low...

Well I vouldn't care less either way to be frank, they are boring unsporty cars with vegan interiors built like a GM or a Ford, so wether their stock is up or down is a meh from me... But Taycan, EV Macan, etc that is another story, I'm somwhat interested in how they come out and how they do. Maybe down the line the wife may get one, who knows.

Myself having owned a number of 911 (the latest being a 991 4S) and Macan Turbo and there is nothing I agree with in your comparison with GM and Ford. Not sure why you have to stress this all the time and yet you completely lack experience with Tesla and time after time just show how little you know and how wrong you are.
And regarding the vegan interiors, they are actually really soft and more durable and I hope that more manufacturers move in this direction because it is simply a better material. At least the material Tesla uses is really great and cooler in the summer than leather. Should also note that I love meat and am very very far from being a vegan.

This is the Tesla thread, why don’t you stay away from it like a moderator should tell you to do? Oh wait, you are a moderator... Boring vs what? The non GT 911 has been boring for over a decade now, which is why there isn’t one in my garage. It is all relative my friend, I would not trade my 10 year old Aston for any 911 sold today. They are that uninteresting...
Unsporty car that outperform and outhandle a BMW M3... good enough for 99% of the rest of us...
You have stated your opinion countless times and contribute absolutely nothing new or interesting to this thread.

Even if I could trade stocks, Tesla stock price is impossible to predict even with a spot on financial analysis and a clear picture of their medium term roadmap and sales.
Besides diversification, there is another under the radar rule of investing: if you do not understand something, get out asap of the position.

Not so much tesla thread and more like a teslarati thread since any criticism is poorly accepted as clearly shown how you all instantly snapped... and you wonder why tesla fan boys in particular get such a bad rep in general?
Not many here are drinking the musk cool-aid and there is no censorship, and even mods can share opinions, so I'll stay away from the Tesla thread thread as much as you like to stay away from the Porsche threads

Diesel van + gasoline generator + electric car........
And yet it is still better because the EV is almost 3 times as efficient compared with a combustion engine...
It is actually a battery, not a gas powered generator, that is charging the EV car, it's a company that offers mobile charging with a battery for such situations. Now all they need is to use EV vans too...

I think it is pretty clear that the Tesla owners here are not drinking the Kool Aid and are the first ones here to also report the downside of their OWNERSHIP and not what they read on the internet. Is our enthusiasm annoying to you because several of us are writing that their Tesla is the best practical daily driver they have ever owned, and that it came as a surprise? Cars are more than the sum of their parts, it is all about the little things. That’s what makes Porsche above the littler, and that’s why they get away with charging ridiculously high prices these days.
Would you like me to make a neat list of all the complaints or things to improve I have written about the X since taking ownership? Starting with the one that you cannot have ventilated seats anymore (although indeed the vegan material is better than leather in summer). Several of Tesla owners here could drive any car they want instead of a Tesla. Yet they don’t, if anything that tells you something important...
We have been that route before, you and a few others are textbook definitions of biased.
Even if they go under for restructuring, what Tesla has done is nothing short of amazing. They have forced a rewrite of the rules book on the car market today, took very profitable markets away from other luxury brands and create one of the most important brand of the automotive world in no time, all the while being lead by a crazy uncontrollable CEO.
