I believe that both lighted and non-lighted door sills are the same but I'm not 100% sure on that.

The CF shift knob in the Turbo looks like this:

And the "pointed pieces" are for the A-pillar. Over by where the side mirror controls are on the driver's side and the blank piece on the passenger side. Right now mine looks kind of cheap with the black plastic. I wouldn't mind replacing these pieces with either the CF trim or leather pieces.

    Thanks AE! Thanks Atomic !
That A-pillar piece I ordered in leather w/ the A-pillar leather package but if the CF matches wouldnt mind having it in CF either. Can't have too much CF. Some pics of my 430; CF racing seats, CF inner & outer sills, CF center consule, CF steering wheel & CF air vent surrounds.
    Terrible pic. w/ flash but...

    Re: lookin for carbon

    Steering wheel

    Re: lookin for carbon

    LPF

    Re: lookin for carbon

Is that your name, Stradale? AJ?

And you're right...I think that as long as its done tastefully, it's not a bad thing to have CF trim pieces. If you put in too much then it's way too gaudy but that's IMHO. Right now, the only CF pieces that I have in mine is the top piece of my Techart steering wheel and the strip across the dashboard. I got rid of the CF shift knob and e-brake handle.

    Re: lookin for carbon

My plate is my sons nickname & my daughters nickname. They get a kick out of it so that's all that count's right.

For the 911 interior I like when all the CF options are ticked (cept the Porsche CF steering wheel because I like the XPA better). IMO looks great as a complete package. Wish they'd give us this much CF as a choice

    Re: lookin for carbon

    CF

    Re: lookin for carbon

When looking atg the CFRP mirrors, it strikes me that the part connecting the irror to the body still is black plastik. This looks kinda weird. Are these parts obtainable in CF as well?

    Re: lookin for carbon

On the 997 mirrors (we stock 'em), the lower section is much more difficult to do in full carbon due to shape. Some knock-offs that show this in carbon actually just lay a sticker over it to look like carbon.

The pointed pieces are the interior door mirror mount points.

We carry/make most all of these parts as custom orders. Just email me your wish list anytime and I'll provide a package price quote.

    Most common 997 Carbon items:

    Rear Center Console
    Ignition Rosette
    Mirror Mounts/interior
    Mirror Shells/exterior
Side and Center Vent Trim (really stunning)
    Instrument Cowl
    Sills
    Inner Sill Seat Memory Finishers
    Rear Console Storage Lid

All carbon is exact-factory-matched and above any Porsche factory quality you would find on or in the car from Germany.

    Re: lookin for carbon

Eric my email is wack can you email me at mercinem@hotmail.com

    Im interested in :

    ignition Rossete
    Side and center vent trim
    Rear center console lid
    Shifter and E-brake.

I also want rear center console painted black
and a DICE unit, and bumper plug.

You can give me a rennteam bundle discount!

    Thanks

    Re: lookin for carbon

Hold on guys! The CF pieces look great but my question is who does the install? Last time I checked the labor was the limiting factor. Also consider the risk of a sloppy install if done outside of a Porsche dealership. Don't want to spoil the fun but I've had some bad experiences.

So Eric what's the real cost of the parts plus install?

    Re: lookin for carbon

yes your right I should check locally to see how much this will cost.

I think it looks great. What do you think, Gregg, especially compared to your former CS?

    The way I understand it?

You can _easily_ install this stuff _IF_IF_IF_ you have access to the service manuals concerned with doing it. The guiding principle of design these days is to make servicing (replacing, repairing, maintaining) verrry easy, low cost (to _dealer_) and even fool proof. BUT that doesn't mean the procedure is evident by merely inspecting the already-installed piece.

The "key" to disassembly is very easy to turn. If you don't have that key you're screwed.

Guessing how to solve the puzzle (picking the lock, as it were) is for eedeeits.

    Re: lookin for carbon

    MMD,
Where do you get the service manuals?
    Eric,
No disrespect...the CF parts look great. I just worry about the installation.

Too expensive for normal P-car owners. Not sure if you can even buy them.

What I'd do? Go to parts dept where I bought the car and "force" them to give you the removal/installation procedure for each piece.

They are SUPPOSED to help answer any questions you have about the car you bought from them. It's called "Expect[ing] Excellence."

    Re: lookin for carbon

Most of the parts we sell, we ship with instructions. Nearly all of it is very easy.

The toughest pieces would be the upper door trim. Otherwise it's all pretty straightforward. If we don't have the installation info, we have the links to get you there.
