    Belgian GT3 smashed like no other. I didn't do it.

    I swear, I'm not responsible for it.

    Story short, the guy is alive and in hospital. He was driving on the wet, lost adherance (aquaplaning), and crash under a big truck at high speed. The rev needle was stuck at 6700rpm. Nice.

    It's a F miracle that he's alive.

    That's the testcar from Porsche Drogenbos isn't it?

    I think it crashed on the road Aalter-Knokke, apparently the guys was driving like a maniac..

    Cair is still in drogenbos. Took the pics today.
    I don'tknow if it's a testcar though.

    all he had to do is press the brake and the car would have slowed down. The car is to smart, I don't believe no needle got stuck. Glad to hear he is O.K.

    You have to give credit to Porsche for designing a lot of strength into these things. When you consider the speed and closure potential of these things it's incredible so many can walk away.

    One of the worst I've seen with someone actually surviving. Very lucky guy. Give porsche credit for building a safe car. Lesson of the day, don't drive GT3 too fast in the rain. It was a nice car.

    Look like PS2's to me...if he aquaplaned, then the blame is not lying at the feet of the MPSC's or Corsa's.

    breaking? I think he was breaking as hard as he could. But aquaplaning means no grip at all.

    As for the needle, I saw it, stuck right there between 6 and 7000 rpm.

    Ahh - a respray and a new windscreen and it'll be as good as new!

    indeed this was the official belgian gt3 testcar

    sad to see idiots trying to impress with it on a testdrive... speedo stuck at 155km/h...

    so sad, but glad he's still alive

    Loe, same car that we tested ... in the wet .. .on slicks ...

    Very sad ending for such a nice car ...

    Er... how come the wheel in the left rear isn't the same as the rest?

    Horrific stuff - glad the guy survived. Going at such high speed in the wet just seems a bit crazy.

    When going for a testdrive with a GT3 one should consider the fact that this is a racecar and not so forgiving as a normal 997. The laws of fysics can't be betrayed on a wet surface.. get a testdrive in a p-belgium testcar

    Are the seats intact?

    It'd make a nice extra for someone who specced the adaptive sportseats in the GT3...

    The rear half looks relatively undamaged - that's why I was surprised by the different wheel - the right rear seems to be ok....

    Does it mean the engine is still intact!?

    The rear wheel is a Carrera S wheel,--not a GT3 wheel. Something no doubt they tossed on just to maneuver it.

    If you look at the interior shot you can see that the reason the roof and windscreen didn't completly crush him was the roll cage!
