    When will the new M3 Cab be out?

    Hi guys,

    I'm looking at getting another car, but it HAS to be a convertible. I'm quite leaning towards the new M3 and the dealer told me they will have one within a weeks time, but I want a Cab Anybody have some inside info?

    Good choice
    8300 rpm with the top down in a tunnel should be interesting

    Word on the street is next year as a 2009 model. It will probably be shown in Detriot or Geneva. By then the M-DCT gearbox will also be ready if that is of interest.

    Geneva 2008.

    Regarding M-DCT... I just re-read some documents about it and about how will it work in new M3. I will say only this-let's hope it will be reliable...

    BUT, already new M3 is offering way too many technical setup options(active chassis, throttle response, steering etc.) so, new M-DCT will add another mess to it.
    It seems to me that BMW M technical stuff did not know how to made the car originally...

    Porsche at least learned few things since new GT2 is offering only one throttle response setup(and that is a very good thing IMHO)...

    Thanks for the feedback! I don't feel like waiting till the 3rd quarter of 2008 for it to only DEBUT! So we're expecting delivery then end 2008?

    What is this new MDCT?

    M Double Clutch Transmission...

    Or BMW M version of DSG, just with 7speed. The same layout will be on Porsche's PDK as well.

    M3 with new M-DCT will be capable for maximum speed of 295km/h with 07ME M Driving Package option...

    Mike, it is so far away. Why not get a AMV8 roadster for the time being?

    BMW is too busy perfecting M3 brakes....those legendary BMW engineers are prob reading and re-reading some book like "Brake Engineering for Dummies"
