Audi A8 SWB vs LWB
For our Audi fans (if any around ):
I am usually driving an A8 W12 SWB (with shorter gearing and sport suspension). For the next days I am driving an A8 W12 LWB (longer gearing and standard suspension).
I am writing this to recommend to everybody interested in buying an W12 to test the SWB version before buying the LWB (I know that the SWB is not available in the US, which is very unfortunate).
Compared to the LWB the SWB has a much more direct handling (steering and cornering). The car feels entirely different. Also, the shorter gearing of the SWB is instantly noticable (better acceleration, more direct throttle response).
In summary, the SWB is the perfect drivers car, the LWB is more comfortable but is much less fun.
