Z4 - M 2009

4.30 m long, 1.3 tons, 420hp V8, DSG. and probably with a folding aluminum top as well.
Sounds like a car worth waiting for!!

According to someone who works in BMW, 3.0 biturbo engine will be much more powerfull than current version in 335 coupe.

i've been driving both the z4m coupe and the 335ci. obviously completely different characters and both interesting in their own way. but enginewise i think the biturbo is superior, given its astounng elasticity combined with the happiness to rev to 7000rpm easily.
If this engine was pumped to 350hp and put into the new z4 it would be a great thing!

Interestingly Autocar are reporting this week that production of the next generation Z4 is moving from Spartanburg US to Regensburg in Germany in 2009.

I dont know, we didnt talk about that. He cant talk a lot, he just said that new Z4 is going to be very big step forward, will be bigger and wider, better looking (front will have similarities with CS concept and rear with Z9 concept), will be made on new M3`s platform and 3.0 R6 twin turbo engine will be more powerfull than current one in BMW 335i.. Also N54 engine is fitted in E89 test-mule.

With facelift or new model year maybe they will incrase power of 335i, but question is if they want to, because with that move 335i would be near to M3`s performances..

With a better engine than 335 and if they keep the weight down this should be a excellent performer...

Then the M version must still come out
