    Well, if the ideas is to show-off a pcar in Zurich or any other Swiss city's posh area on Sunday afternoon, I agree, there is a philosophical question about Porsche ownership in Switzerland. BUT, Gnil and I know of roads where you can floor it and have a lot of fun (it is called a mountain road) AND besides, we are only hour(s) away from either France, Italy and Germany which have their fair share of 'flooring opportunities' too.
    Switzerland is a very Porsche friendly country. Normal purchase price, relatively low insurance, very limited risks to get your car damaged by some [beep] or the road itself, plenty of mountain roads



    Not to mention, a larger number of racetracks in Germany, France and Italy... all within a few hours reach... in case those mountain roads are not enough

    Jeannot & Gnil, i'm coming to Germany & Switzerland in 2 weeks..
    I thought the fun driving part will end at the border..
    I would love to get some recommended "mountain roads" where i can "floor it" and have fun-driving with no police around

    (A good friend will loan my his Vacation-car for a few days..)

    I Will be driving from Germany to Italy through Switzerland with a night stay at Zurich .
    if it's possible to do this road on back-side fun-driving roads it will be better than the highways the GPS will give me..

    Discover, then I guess from Zrh, the GPS will want you to go through the San Gottardo tunnel. Just avoid this and try a little detour through Furka/Nufenen passes.
    I am sure other Swiss colleagues who live in the Zurich area will know better what way to take from Zrh to Italy. Good luck and have fun :-)

    taking it all back...
    after 4500km in 8 days (germany-switzerland-italy-austria-germany-switzerland-italy-monaco-south of france-italy-austria-germany),
    i really understand why to have a porsche in switzerland.
    the N22 road has been an amazing drive!
