Re: Satellite Radio
Funny you ask ... After 6 years, I just recently left the company with an "X" in it.
It really comes down to what do you need, total in car or something portable and what kind of features. Bare bones basic display - something nicer?
If in car only, I'd recommend waiting for the XM Commander replacement which should be out shortly. It comes with a tidy little display/controller which you should be able to mount discretely on the dash or above the rear view mirror.
Unless you're handy with vehicle electronics, leave this to the pros to install.
If portable, I recommend the Xpress R - which is a plug and pplay version of the Commander essentially, or if you spend a little more money you can get the XPress RC which has a 30-minute Tivo like function and color screen however the form factors a little larger (about the size of the deck of playing cards).
Now, the plug and play stuff can pretty much be installed by anyone. I designed it to be a do-it-yourself process that can be handled with anyone with a marginal degree of competence and 30 minutes to spare on the weekend.
Or, if you really don't want to mess with it - there's a $70 pre-paid installation card on the website. It's all insurance and bonded. You just call the number and drop the car off at a specified date and time with equipment.
