    Natural Grey floor mats

    Just got my new Porsche with Natural Leather Dark Grey interior. The floor mats (in interior color) are not actually the color of the carpet, but darker. They may be the same mats that come with black interior.

    Anybody have this same experience? How can you get floor mats that are the same color as the gray carpet?

    Carpet colour is always a problem, except if you choose black. In my cocoa interior the carpet doesn't fit the leather that well, though it is better as in case of the tan interior of Ferrari. If I have to choose again and the interior colour won't be black, I will go for a two tone interior with black carpets. You can't go wrong that, also black carpets are far more stain-resistant than any other colour.

    Just an idea, but "deviated" color floor mats are kinda interesting depending on what you do.

    Instead of trying to find exact match _maybe_ do something different. How about red (yeah right! ) floor matts, or black or..., I dunno..., tan? How about and even darker grey than what you have?

    The mats are black. The dealer is checking into it. But basically it looks like Porsche does not provide natural grey mats for this interior, substituting black instead.

    I'd been wondering the same thing too. I have natural grey in mine but black mats. IMHO it doesn't look very good but for a while I'd been using rubber mats which sort of looks grey. I'd love the proper colored mats so please if you hear anything, let me know and I'll do the same too.

    There are no natural grey floor mats. The german car configurator states that you get black floor mats with natural grey leather.

    I recall that the 996 version of natural grey interior did come with dark gray mats. Anybody know if 996 mats will fit the 997 interior?

    If so, I assume it might be possible to get the 996 natural grey mats either from Porsche or after market.

    Well, back in spring '05 the German car configurator also stated that you get black floor mats with stone grey leather interior. That proved wrong. I got grey floor mats matching the grey carpets. The option code of my floor mats with leather piping in interior color and Porsche writing was XX1 that is no longer available. A similar option is available for less money under another option code now. So, there still might be some grey floor mats available. If natural grey is not available I would at least try to get other grey mats like mine.

    Thanks. My last car had stone grey interior and mats. I liked them very much.

    Tentative word is, if you order natural grey, you get black mats. Porsche doesn't supply dark grey mats for the 997. Considering how much Porsche charges for this special leather interior, one might expect mats in color matching the dark grey carpet.

    I emailed Porsche Exclusive in Stuttgart and asked if they could provide the correct mats. We'll see what comes of that.

    Thanks. Porsche wrote back immediately and said they have no material to make mats in natural grey. I don't get it. There are mats in every other interior color. Why not dark gray?

    Any other suggestions where one can get correct color mats after market?

    Thanks. I bookmarked it and will check it out. Getting just the right shade of dark gray/charcoal may be a challenge. Maybe they have color swatches? Anyway, much appreciate the help.

    Performance Porducts is sending me samples of five different hues of grey carpet. Hopefully one of them will work. Plus, they offer a GT3 logo in the mats. So that should look cool.

    Performance Products, Lloyds Mats, #106 Granite Black, or Graphite Black, is the closest to natural grey. I ordered mats today and will let you know how they look when they arrive.

    I've got Automotion sending me swatches in Steel Grey (138), Space Grey (173), and Graphite Stone (176). If one of those doesn't work well I'll go with black.

    www.thematsite.com will send you 1 inch samples of their carpets if you request them, of the Lloyd Ultimats. I believe their prices are very competitive as well.

    I ordered the samples to match up to the beige that has faded some what in the Range Rover.

    The one that I think fits best is called granite black or graphite black #106. The other greys they sent me also and they were all too light, unless of course you want contrasting light floor mats.

    To finish this story, I did order and receive "graphite black" mats from Performance Products made by Lloyds. These were the closest to natural leather dark grey carpet color. Unfortunately, the Lloyd's carpet had a green tinge that made it look less good than the black supplied by Porsche. I returned the Lloyds mats for a refund.

    It's very disappointing that for an interior costing $5-6 grand Porsche does not provide mats in correct carpet color. Nor would Exclusive provide mats for me.

    That's a cheap-out, in my opinion. As much as I love the natural grey leather, I'm not sure I'd order this interior again unless, untii Porsche provides mats for it, truly in "interior color," as they claim.
