Here are pictures, looks great but I'm not sure if I'd want to get these retrofitted to mine.

Wow - that is certainly expensive, but they look very nice. I wonder if they come in different widths?

Wonder if they'll be stock on the 2008 GT3/RS?

Re: New sports bucket seats in german car configur

They are standard on the GT2 apparently...

Re: New sports bucket seats in german car configur

For these seats with the 997TT, its 1416.10 Euros. Cheaper but still quite pricey. Have you guys seen the price for the aero kit lately? 5,355 Euros!!!

Re: New sports bucket seats in german car configur

The main difference to the gt3/carrera gt bucket seats is that you can fold them like normal seats. so you can access the rear seats.

Another difference is that the new sports bucket seats have side air bags fitted to them, whilst the old ones did not.

Do they recline too or just fold?

Yes, which makes them US-legal in a 911 for the first time...

They don't recline. No reclining seat is stiff enough to earn the name "bucket seat".

It's possible that the whole seat could recline from the base with an electric mechanism (like the standard power seats). I'm fine with manual though...

C'mon, Grant, you're an "add lightness" fan. You wouldn't ever want that.

Re: New sports bucket seats in german car configur

    wonder how comfortable they are.

Re: New sports bucket seats in german car configur

    wow... expensive seats!

They sure look like the ones being shown on the GT2 on the PCNA web site. Had they been offered as an option several years ago when I put in my order, I would have gotten them as they look, and probably feel, really good. Looks like they'll hold you in nicely in fast turns.

Re: New sports bucket seats in german car configur

I'd have to see in person. They look a bit "Darth Vader-ish. Wild and crazy and appropriate for Ferrari, but I'd have to see then in person in Porsches

Also am I going to look smaller or larger sitting in that wide-a** backrest? Hummmmmmm...?
